Deserves a thread of its own I think.
I'm delighted, about time for us all to get behind him.

Welcome back indeed.
I think it's time for us to get behind him and support the Brewers into the Championship?!

I hope it's true and not just a rumour, some of the other names in the betting odds filled me full of fear.

Tim Sherwood does not fit the Burton way at all. Imo.

He may. But he's tactically naive and only knows one way, attack.
Which isn't out strongest asset!

I think it's a great move. I think the club has come a long way in a very short time.
Think it's time to consolidate a bit. If we somehow got promoted it would be fantastic but just having a solid club in League One itself is a success
I'm happy with this news

Pretty much looks like a done deal. So, welcome back Nigel! I wish you the best of luck and will support you and the Brewers through to the Championship, hopefully.
I do see this as a big risk for NC. We're 44% through the season, and Jimmy left us Top of The Table and 10 points ahead of 7th place. If we don't make the playoffs at least I think most fans will see it as failure. But that would apply to any manager (including Jimmy). So, fingers crossed, UTB's!
edit: in August staying in L1 was seen as the successful goal, that has changed after 20 games.

Promotion would be great but nobody expected it before the season started. Stability in league one would be an achievement for our club in my opinion

Welcome home, young man.
Can't agree that not getting into the play offs would be a failure. Perspective is needed and we're still one of the smallest clubs in the country with a fan base and budget to match. Relegation is failure. Anything else is a gigantic achievement.

Promotion would be great but nobody expected it before the season started. Stability in league one would be an achievement for our club in my opinion Unfortunately/Fortunately? Expectations have significantly changed. If we got a windfall of cash from Jimmy it may allow us to make a big signing in January to get us there. The loan market will be important in January and if Derby can give us a hand it'd be nice

Whatever the position come the end of the season there will be moaners. We are in no1 spot L1, anything less is a failure.
^^^ Yes I've just been on Facebook and looked at some of the posts. We would have settled on a mid table position before the season kicked off, still would be great if we finished in the play off
I welcome Nige back, have always thought it was a no brainer. Now come on Nige show those nay sayers what for, it's got to be a piece of p##s to you now to get us higher, but nothing's a done deal in football.

Let's see if QPR do us any favours on loans
Can't see how we could get a big windfall from JFH?
I think any compensation is limited to the salary the manager earns
JFH will have been careful when signing a contract so that any compensation didn't limit his own options.

Just hoping that this agreement in principle isn't some ruse to get Fawazz to pull the trigger on Freedman at Florist now Ben has played his card and made him an offer, having said that I am a born pessimist or so the wife tells me.

Stability in league one would be an achievement for our club in my opinion I'm not doing cloughy down here, there's no reason why he can't keep the momentum up in my opinion. I'm simply stating that before a ball was kicked in August most of us expected a mid /top half team stabilising and building, as we always have. I'd be happy with another season in league one it's a long way from the beazer homes league !,,,
