That hope fully is the start of our push for promotion..it will be interesting if he brings in a couple of signed up players as sender in time to have a squad like we had a few seasons ago that other teams hated playing against here at fortress Pirelli..I've every confidence in anyone Nigel brings in..but I do hate the negative comments some make it we have a few bad results....

Don't see either Martin or Grigg being viable transfer targets as their wages will be just too much and we could only make a small contribution at best. Either way whoever comes in to play that central position will have the opportunity to fill their boots goalwise as we're crying out for somebody to start anticipating those crosses that keep flying across the six yard box and just requiring a touch. As much as I like Boyce and Akins and as good as they can be at times neither of them are real six yard box poachers which is what we need.

I understand that Radio Derby trotted this one out on Saturday afternoon, based on something they had heard. Just goes to show that the only reliable source is the official club source. Anything else is pure speculation.

While waiting for credible sources the news leaks out Shaughnessy=powell all good rumours Jamie Murphy i hope is the same, transfer windows are full of rumours and speculation. nice for us to be involved why should speculation only be for the big clubs ,and im sure circumstances can change at any time. In the meantime if we get Jamie Murphy, It would be nice for all transfer activity to cease immediately. [ I WISH ]

Anything else is pure speculation. Well it could've been true in some part. As I read it Sunderland are interested in Docherty on loan from Rangers and wanted talks with Boyce? The latter I'm thinking got stalled because he played then got a knock in the match Tuesday although he played on. Just putting two n two together. www.footballfancast.com/league-one/sunderland/the-black-cats-phil-parkinson-comments-quotes-transfer-update. Something to speculate on anyways, it's gone quiet.🤫

Parkinson states no transfer activity until after Sat, If this was a game pontoon i would say Burton Albion should stick

Initially I thought Fraser would have been the first to leave, Boyce has found a rich vein of form recently which just edges him a grade above in my eyes. A January window without any sales would be a full on statement in terms of our intentions, however I expect us to have some outgoings.

If you are looking to sign a player due to go out of contract for a bargain price then it makes sense to leave it late and leave the selling club thinking they might not get anything at all for the player
Negotiating a deal early in the window just takes the pressure off the selling club
In same position we would leave it late to sign a player going out of contract I'm sure
It's all about bargaining power

Letting a player leave late is a sign of desperation or making a stand and not letting him go cheap, I think Nigel at this stage will not let a player go unless it suits Burton Albion, watching Boyce and Fraser in the last game, no one could say they were not committed─ Selling to Sunderland would i think give them a boost in their drive for promotion, shame if you have to sell your best silver for £250 000 in league 1 this is peanuts. Loan players moving at the last minute, clubs will always look for their best options and as a last resort take a deal. Holding onto Boyce and Fraser we lose £250-000 and 1 sky match will cover that, Its times like now support for the club lets us down.

Nige mentioned bringing a forward into the squad this week. Anyone got a sniff of who it could be. Think it’s got to be a permanent signing also!

I've not looked at whether he's fit or not but I wonder if we might have asked Derby about mason Bennett.
He's had s tough year off the pitch and perhaps linking up with Nigel again is just what he needs.
I know many of you don't fancy him but I think he'd be a real threat at league one level. His pace and power would give us something totally different.
Plus if he had a good few months we may even get a fee for him.

He was rumoured to be going to Millwall, I fancy he will be on wages beyond us.
