I've not looked at whether he's fit or not but I wonder if we might have asked Derby about mason Bennett. He's had s tough year off the pitch and perhaps linking up with Nigel again is just what he needs. I know many of you don't fancy him but I think he'd be a real threat at league one level. His pace and power would give us something totally different. Plus if he had a good few months we may even get a fee for him. He was rumoured to be going to Millwall, I fancy he will be on wages beyond us. Be able to save on the parking space though. There is a bus stop nearby I think

Mason Bennett indeed heading to Millwall it appears. Linking up with Gary Rowett again.
Will Grigg - Sunderland, understandably, are reluctant to let him go to a divisional rival. Grigg not prepared to drop down a division it seems after turning down a loan move to Salford.

Grigg i thought was in the package for a Boyce deal , no way now ,perhaps he is happy to run his contract out

Karl Robinson is interested in taking Grigg to Oxford. He can't afford the £4m price tag Sunderland seem to have slapped on him but he's still enquired about him. A sticking point could be selling to another L1 rival apart from the high price, who knows?

Will Grigg has a problem, as do Sunderland. he doesn't want to go to league 2. fair enough
sunderland don't want him to go to league 1 competitor. but they do want rid of him on loan. amazing really on how far we've Come if sunderland don't want to loan us players as they see us as rivals!

The problem with Grigg is cost. Sunderland wanted to off load him to Salford on loan but wanted 5k a week towards his reported 10k a week wages. Salford said no hence Sunderland withdrew from the Boyce bidding. If Sunderland wanted to offload Grigg in favour of Boyce why we we want their reject

Salford said no hence Sunderland withdrew from the Boyce bidding. If Sunderland wanted to offload Grigg in favour of Boyce why we we want their reject Think it was more a case that Salford were prepared to pay the £5k per week (not quite sure they reconcile that with the League 2 salary cap even with moneybags owners) and Sunderland were happy with it but Grigg has refused to drop to League 2. Sounds like Bradford were also in for him as well. Sunderland have pretty much said its either Championship or League 2 on loan so at the moment it is stalemate. As far being a part of the Boyce deal that was never going to be on the table. Grigg cost Sunderland £4m, Boyce cost us £0.5m and had less than six months left on his contract. For a start off Sunderland were never going to write off that sort of amount at this stage of his contract. They may well get nowhere near £4m for him in the long run but to take a £3.5m hit on him just twelve months after signing him would be lunacy - even for their seemingly shambolic ownership.

Jevan Anderson is a player for our future..I know he's struggled somewhat during his start but I've watched the Brewers for the past 30 odd years.we have had some great players come on loan and we've seen the talent they have.but for now let's build for the future as we have the players to get us promotion maybe or maybe not this season.but it's not the end of the world if we don't...we go again in the coming season what ever the end result.....

We already have five loans , which is the maximum you can have in your 18 man squad .So is one of them (Broadhead?) going back .

In another report Broadhead has returned from Everton to resume training with the Brewers. He's in contention for a place Saturday if fit. Of course he could still go back for whatever reason subject to what's in the loan agreement.

Yeh....perhaps me putting wrong interpretation on things.....I went back and checked Nigel's words....what he actually said was "possibility of one coming in on a short-term deal"
