Don't wish to be pedantic Peacock, but you said "hoof ball" in two separate posts. That is a repitition I think. However I know we all agree on the superb quality in the second half. That is the football we love to see our team playing. Geez, I did. Had to scroll back through and search diligently to find them though? Didn't think people paid so much attention... Yes the second half was superb standard of play by us for the most part. Ball control, on the floor passes out wide and down the wings to runners. That was the key change to our game that Jimmy brought here and at halftime Nigel probably told them to get back to it in no uncertain terms.

A lot of our fans seem to have caught 'Mancityitus' being the condition where great success brings excessive and unwarranted criticism. A lot of fans won't realise what we have now until it's gone! Granted, I've only been a fan since we lost to Fleetwood at Wembley (my first game). A fan behind me was berating NEK every time he got the ball. And was wanting him off at half time. This man is clearly a plonker, but I can see why people get frustrated. Very well said

Not sure it has been mentioned on here but do people realise that Robbie now has a two game ban as that was his second red card of the season so will miss Coventry and Shrewsbury? yes

Tom Carroll has just 'taken one for the team' for Spurs v Everton. Spot the difference?

Regardless of how reckless Weir was v Blackpool I remember seeing an interview by JFH not long ago where he said when Robbie was out he had to load central midfield with an extra player to compensate for what is missing from the team without his battle etc

He agreed contract terms with us a few months ago according to the BM, but he never signed an extension. There have been a few rumours of Jimmy coming in for one player or another but Robbie is probably the only one of those mentioned who could help him right now (edit: ie: at some point this season), IMO. I also hope you are wrong!

^^^ Won't help if he misses matches through suspension though. Something Jimmy or anyone thinking of taking him will have to chew over. As I said earlier he's not a dirty player they are mistimed, or as in the second yellow Sat a really foolish challenge.

I am afraid being a vital cog in a well oiled machine brings problems if it keeps braking down.Another red card and a silly one. Coventry away,a big big challenge,And someone will have to step into a massive game, for Burton. Clough will not tolerate indiscipline,by any player. Has he apologized to his team mates or the fans yet.It was a naive and silly challenge, lessons to be learned even by a expirencad player

08:41Monday 04 January 2016 Neil McDonald questioned the support of Blackpool’s travelling fans as a shocking afternoon at Burton boiled over. The manager was fuming after boos and chants of “You’re not fit to wear the shirt” were directed at his players as they slumped to a 1-0 defeat against 10-man Burton. There were ugly scenes at the full-time whistle as the players attempted to applaud the travelling fans, prompting McDonald to turn on his own after the game. The Pool boss asked: “Do the fans actually support the team when we are away from home? They are brilliant at home. I have no qualms at all when we are at home. “I know they’ve got their issues but we need them to get behind the team, not criticise the team.” The fans have been largely supportive of McDonald and the players, despite constant protests against the club’s owners. But on Saturday they turned on the team, feeling Pool should have taken advantage of Robbie Weir’s first-half red card. Instead Pool sat back, eventually losing to Mark Duffy’s strike, which took Burton to the top and dropped Pool back into the relegation zone. Defender Tom Aldred faced up the Pool fans at the end before removing his shirt. McDonald said: “The players shouldn’t be getting involved, should they? They go across to thank the fans for their support but the support needs to be better. “They shouldn’t be shouting about their issues throughout the whole game. That’s all I’m hearing.” McDonald has insisted that off-field issues don’t trouble him or his squad, though events at the Pirelli Stadium clearly got under his skin. He was quick to hit out at any claims his players aren’t putting in the work. “The whole squad play for the shirt. It’s certainly not for the lack of trying,” he said. “If it is we’ve got a huge problem. They’ve played right until the end to try to get an equaliser.” Pool struggled throughout in Staffordshire, despite Weir’s second yellow card after 42 minutes giving them hope. McDonald added: “Losing is horrible. In the first half I thought we contained them and we should have been 1-0 up with Bright Osayi-Samuel’s chance. “For half an hour in the second half we never got going. We never passed or stopped them from playing. The one really good chance they created they scored from.” Pool did create a couple of openings but it was all too little, too late. Even so, McDonald feels they could have nicked a draw. “In the last 15 minutes we created lots of chances,” he said. “We could have got a goal and a point in the end. “We didn’t play at all for the first hour and let them do what they wanted. They raised the tempo after they got a man sent off but we need to show more composure.” Read more: www.blackpoolgazette.co.uk/sport/blackpool-fc/pool-latest/mcdonald-turns-on-angry-blackpool-fans-1-7653686#ixzz3wHiumcDO

Neil McDonald wasn't a fans favourite before Saturdays game, he certainly isn't now. They were calling for his head then so what now?
A thankless job given there situation, even Mr Clough has put his tuppence worth in re the sorry state of affairs. I'll say no more because they fetch the lawyers in pretty quick if anyone speaks out of turn about them.
Listening to Lee Clarke last sat on TV (Soccer AM) he was choosing his answers very carefully when quizzed about his time as manager.

Given their situation I can understand why they are so upset, but comments like this below make me smile.........
"aldred can expect no more support after his attack on fans at the end.....he is a disgrace......Mugdonald has proven that he is an oyston puppet and he knows his remit is to get the club down but is conning fans every week.......
if you cant beat the ten man minnows of burton then you deserve some pelters...and more...."
