What a great display from the ten men. Absolutely deserved the win. At half time I was really upset at Robbie Weir getting sent off. The second booking was totally unnecessary, and I found myself questioning Robbie's intelligence. However, for the second half, Blackpool looked like the team a man down, as we completely played them off the park. There were so many top performances from individuals, I find it unfair to pick a MoM, but that's just my opinion.

I think you answered your own point Bennyboy. Blackpool could not press us second half because we didn't let them. As you say we turned the screw and didn't let them play. Duffy dropped a little deeper to make up the numbers in midfield and we just flew at them after the break. The first time I noticed them seriously in our half, after the break, was 73 minutes.
With ten men we battered them and it could have been more but for their keeper who I thought was excellent. (Apart from the time wasting at 0-0)

A lacklustre first half notable for a great save by McLaughlin and some stupidity from Robbie Weir. Cloughie said the right things at half time and we played really well and dominated with 10 men. Several excellent performances 2nd half and I was delighted for Duffy when he scored a cracker, he really dictated the 2nd half for us and worked his socks off. Another good 3 points, onwards and upwards ! Listening to Duffy after the match he said the paperwork was all sorted and he just had to sign it to remain with us for the rest of the season.

Brewers on fbook are suggesting that nassa was waving goodbye at the end? Very interesting and I wouldn't be surprised if jimmy took him That is the impression I got, he was waving and then appeared to wipe a tear away. For me he hasn't quite delivered the last two games, maybe his mind is elsewhere, but I do think he could do a job at championship level. I hope if QPR do make a raid that it's only for one player not more.

A lot of valid points already made, just to reiterate a few...
First half we were poor, back to hoofball, I barely recognised the team. But we controlled them completely for the first 35 minutes of the second half. Sometimes a team plays better with 10 men, more space, but it also depends on the opponent and they were poor for the most part. Imagine playing when your 'fans' are singing we are shit! Both keepers made some great saves. Robbie's second caution was just a stupid mistake from him, in fact both cautions were, there is no need to do that in your half. Beavon was superb again and was my MOTM. Lucas also had a good game. Tom Naylor? What were you thinking? Just lay it off to Timmy. Another decent crowd, 4300+,
Two weeks to sort out the loans, transfers or cuts?

I can't remember seeing any more long balls in the first half than I've seen all season. In fact I thought McLaughlin was trying to roll the ball out a bit more than he normally does. The reason the first half was so poor and fragmented was because our short passing was terrible and 2 or 3 key attacking players first touches were none existent. Couple that with the Blackpool players taking ages to take dead balls (not ripping into them for it because we've done it away all season and we'll do it at Coventry as well) and you have a football match that simply doesn't get going.

Great game today. I thought McLaughlin was fantastic again today, with a couple of great saves. Robbie should know better. Shane was very solid at the back its great to see him back in the starting 11. I would have liked to have seen a couple of substitutions earlier on though as being down to 10 men a couple of players were starting to look tired and some fresh legs may have got us a couple more goals, they were a very poor side today, no disrespect intended, I hope they can sort out their off field problems soon. I hope it is not the last we see of Nasser, it would be a pity to lose him to a bigger club for him to be a squad player sitting on the bench, he needs games to get better and better. Great 3 points. Roll on Coventry!!

Most players were waving at the end? I'd be shocked if any of our players left to go to QPR. Top of league one or free fall in the championship? Its a no brainer

Its a no brainer Only reason to go would be money So don't rule it out completely It's a short career and players have to cash in when the opportunity comes I think we've got a great bunch of pros but despite that they would all struggle at a club like QPR IMO But could pay off some mortgages and earn treble or quadruple or more than what they earn with us

I'm in another continent at moment on hols so just seen the stats
Anyone else ever go on BBC abroad and slowly and very timidly scroll down the B's in League One til you get to the score - daring not to look!
Lol - that's what I just did
Incredible stats on shots etc for a team with 10 men
And great crowd as well
I will have a few extra mojitos tonight
Nice to see Walsall lose badly as well

But is Nasser good enough yet to step up a division? I think not, but I only see him every other week for 90 mins. Most clubs at our level would have him in the team, Championship, maybe one for the future, warming the bench to start with, Jimmy needs an instant impact player right now.

IMO he would struggle to perform well in Championship with them and would fail there badly He would be given far more chance to play in Championship if he could get there with us And would do better as a result But money talks

The last time that I was cross with one of our players to the point of openly criticising him was Ryan Austin away against Gillingham when his second yellow card was due to arguing with the ref. Robbie Weir's second was equally as uncalled for to the point of stupidity from a professional sportsman. It was not a case of taking one for the team, there was little danger and it was so soon after the first yellow that the ref , who was not card happy, was obviously going to send him off. Whereas Robbie is hardly Guy Branstonesque (hope that makes sense) in his disciplinary record, he is just lately more often suspended than playing….not good
We could have lost the game, but strangely enough today was another instance when a set back galvanised the team to a good performance. I suppose that shows team spirit so we take the three points and the positives and move on…

I read pre match the ref had issued not one red card this season, it was a no brainer today. Robbie made it an easy decision for him. You can't really say he's a dirty player, just mistimed tackles and sometimes puts himself under pressure with short or misplaced passes trying then to retrieve situations. We missed him when injured/suspended before, today though they pulled together and played like they didn't need him. That was some second half performance.

But as a career move it won't be a good choice. They have a big possibility of being in league one next season.
