A big game by any standards on Monday. It will not decide whether we go up or not but we need to get something from this game. Beating Wycombe would put us 7 points clear of them with 5 to play. A daw would keep us 4 points ahead of them and a defeat would still see us 1 point ahead of them. The pressure is all on Wycombe with Bury breathing down their necks. With it being a bank holiday it would be nice to see the locals getting into the Pirelli in good numbers. On the same day Mansfield play the Shrews and bury are at home to Morecambe. Obviously its what we do that matters but I'm interested to know what your thoughts are fellow Brewers.

My thoughts are its between us and wycombe for automatic
Bury are on 8 wins from 9 and winning comfortably home and away. They really have momentum.
Shrewsbury I think are going to keep winning
We've had a lot of huge games but this is right up there now.
A defeat and we are up against it momentum wise
A win and we will get promoted

Pretty much my thoughts too Observer. A win for us and Wycombe will really be up against it. Away from home they are excellent but there home form is poor. Not quite as confident Bury will keep the run going. The 14th April class against Shrewsbury may reveal more.

Post by peacockbrewer 21 hours ago that point today guarantees us a playoff place, but who cares about that. we are getting auto. Wycombe have a very thin squad and have to travel to us on Monday...3 points for us me thinks! Read more: burtonbrewers.proboards.com/search/results?who_at_least_one=47&what_at_least_one=Thin&display_as=0#ixzz3WLYLj2FMBury have a tough schedule in April, 6 games in 20 days, Morecombe, Newport away, Shrewsbury, Portsmouth away, Southend, Wimbledon. Not worried about them at all... Plus we are undefeated in 6 and are playing very well, unucky not to get all 3 vs Stevenage and Plymouth. I predict the table will end: Burton Shrews Bury ---------- Wycombe

Wakey wakey, rise and shine ! COME ON YOU BREWERS ! Must admit I'm really looking forward to todays game. My back is feeling a bit easier, the weather is good and we should get a big crowd in(by our standards anyway). Wycombe have managed to bounce back strongly each time they have suffered a defeat and have the best away record in English football this season so I think we will have to be at our best to beat them. Its going to be a tough battle but I hope we can sneak a win.

Sounds like McGurk will be missing today with an ankle injury.

Have a sneaky feeling I'll be wrong today but here goes anyway...
..............McLaughlin Edwards, Mousinho, Cansdell-Sherriff, McCrory, ................Naylor .........Akins, Palmer, El Khayati, ............Johnstone, Beavon
Like we were saying, Moose has to be on his guard for antagonists.

Wycombe had a few injury worries none of whom have passed late fitness tests
Looks like they've only named 5 subs
