It feels like a long distance race and we are in the lead, but we have just dropped another two chasers - Stevenage and Newport. We can now finish no lower than fifth. Buy we want more. We just need to keep the pressure on the other four followers. COYB.
All credit to our team effort especially El Khayati for his perfect crossfield ball to McGurk and the wonderful finish. Incidentally does El Khayati tie the ball to his laces at times?

2 more wins from 5 games to guarantee it.
4 wins will get the title as I think the shrews will keep winning and only draw once....

We've won!!!!!!!!!!! Wow. That's biggest result of season bar none. Now we can really do this! ? What ? Now? "this" has been in the mix for weeks. Sorry peacock but I've been reading that this is ours to throw away for last two weeks whilst watching us draw 2 games whilst our rivals were winning. Today we've just had to battle like hell for 90 minutes to put ourselves firmly in the driving seat I've not been at the match but I've followed every word of every live update from the game and I know enough that there was nothing in it and that grit, bottle and determination won it for us. I've even been listening to the crowd noise in background whilst the guy talked through the game to try and get re-assurance our goal wasn't under threat. Had the result gone the other way today we would have momentum against us and would be far less comfortable than we are now Now we have this buffer with just 5 games left I am prepared myself to say this is now "ours to throw away" Up until today we had a hell of a lot of hard work still to do as ive been keen to remind everyone Fantastic effort today and all credit to JFH and his assistant because they've shown we've got bottle and backbone that I wasn't sure we had I would also like to say that despite Gary Rowett being an absolutely superb manager who will go on to have a superbly successful career for many years I do not believe we would be in as good a position now as had he had stayed. Which just shows what an impact JFH has had at the club. Incredible last few months and after today it's time to really believe promotion is going to happen.

If I've read it somewhere before I've took no notice as I have my own comfort levels !! Now the pressure is off IMO I am also willing to start believing we can go on and win the League Next few matches we can start enjoying Today I didn't enjoy a minute of listening for updates and checking BBC stats I was too nervous to enjoy a second of it. One goal for wycombe and the day would have been spoilt. As for Bury losing - that was just icing on the cake.

I still don't care about other teams. We have one point advantage. Keep doing the same or better than Shrewsbury and we win the league. I will be disappointed if we don't.

Very exciting game today, I thought the first half was a bit nervy with both sides trying not to make a mistake. The second half we bossed it for the most part (Matty coming on made a difference) and that is mostly down to the fitness training that the players have been saying Jimmy implemented since he took the helm! I thought the ref did ok, he got the big decisions right. The yellow for Jono handing outside the box was correct despite many saying it should have been red. Brilliant goal again from the "useless" Adam McGurk (he is a big game player as per the 2 playoff goals last season vs Southend that took us to Wembley). I thought Moose was MOTM, but Jono could have been only because of that brilliant save late in the game and another before that one. Nasser was good again and even tried to get the popside to get involved. I thought Tafty did well despite having not played much recently, and Shane, Phil and Beavs were solid as ever.
I'll say it again. I think the table will finish: Burton Shrews Bury -------- Wycombe
COYB!

I am interested as to the reasoning behind you saying yellow was correct. If he had not handled, the ball would have gone over his head and I believe their player would have had an open goal. Obviously I have not seen the replay and to be fair the referee does not have that benefit either. Looked an obvious red to me though.
McGurk again for me was MOtM and good to hear no derision when it was announced (well I didn't anyway). I also thought Moose was lucky not to get a yellow, I thought Deadman was inconsistent, was it 3 yellows in the first 15mins? But after then similar challenges (Moose's included) seemed to go unpunished.
But what spirit and endeavour, and Nasser please sign and make mugs of League One defenders (should we get there…).

For a while now I've had the feeling that it's time to put my money where my mouth is. After today's fantastic results I'm prepared to contribute a few pennies towards getting Brewers coach driver an updated road map. He'll need to find his way next season to places like Coventry, Blackpool, Wigan & maybe Sheffield (50/50 chance of playing Nigel's team I reckon) ... it's all very exciting.

Coventry may yet swap leagues with us
As may Notts County
From an independent point of view:
Sky reporter said nothing in it really in first half and we may slightly have edged it
He said our keeper was lucky not to get red card
After we scored second half he said that Wycombe were having a lot of ball but we handled them well and they had no real cutting edge
He said Palmer missed a sitter and Mclauglin made a great save
He commented more than once that Beavon lacked any real goal threat compared to his play
I really wish I had been able to go to the match as it's seriously nerve racking watching sky sports updates compared to seeing things happen live
Every time they went across to the Pirelli for an update the hairs went up on back of my neck!!
Plus our game seemed to go on longer than most of the rest
Was Nasser injured then when he went off?

Nasser did take a big barge in the back which appeared to cause him some discomfort but looked like he had recovered. I noticed that Naylor and McLoughlin were both struggling with niggles at the end of the 2nd half.

The match was live on Sky? Tip, I never give much credence to anything a reporter or pundit says because 90% of the time they are out of touch with what is really happening. their minds are focused on what sells, what can make news and get people to listen to us. "He said Matty missed a sitter" ? My blind dog saw that!

And I think we have had some excellent refs this year, Deadman was not an impressive one IMHO

I would doubt Nasser has a proper injury.

"He said Matty missed a sitter" ? My blind dog saw that! No they had a reporter at the ground but Stelling as most of you will know has this way of making you fear bad news when he "sends" you to the ground. Today those words "the deadlock is finally broken at the Pirelli but who's winning?" Scary stuff Plus every time after that he mentions Pirelli We seem to have had so many huge games this season. It's draining!! Lol
