Despite their lowly position only lost 1 v 0 to Pompey today. Often lose by the odd goal. One of their four wins this season came v Brewers at home on Tuesday October 24th a deserved (says BBC report) 2 v 1 victory against in-form Burton. They'll be wanting to do a double job on us but I'm sure MP will not allow any complacency after our win and double over the Gas today... Hoping for a good game, expecting a hard fought match and 3 points will be celebrated...

One we need to make count but Paul Simpson is a good and highly experienced manager and will have a game plan to get something from the Pirelli. I’m sure he will see us as a fixture that points could come from. Let’s hope he’s wrong.

Whenever I hear "Carlisle at home" I remember the season we won League Two.
They came to us fighting for their lives. They have been bottom of the league?
They scored after three minutes, parked the bus and started time wasting. Damo missed a 92nd minute penalty and Denny Johnstone popped up the 98th with the equaliser.
Another great night at the Pirelli. I needed a long lie down after that one.

I'm out of Burton at the moment. What is the weather like? Steady rain most of the day so far, expected to get heavier later.

I'm out of Burton at the moment. What is the weather like? I'm out of Burton too but it's persisting here so I checked Met Office forecast for Burton and it says heavy rain all day... Dropping fr 90% to 10% between 7pm and 8pm BBC suggests it might carry on till later Will it be on? Will they have left Carlisle yet?

It's raining here ATM (Derby) much the same forecast as what's trickling down over the Pirelli stadium. Heavier rain forecast around 1600hrs then tailing off towards KO. Hope we got a pitch inspection done around midday, guessing Paul Simpson was loading the coach up then. Nothings certain about the weather forecast ATM, yours truly Michael Fish.😄

I have to travel myself. It's raining in Tamworth can't see a problem. We live in a wet country. I should imagine that they would have a look at the pitch around 3pm because of the long distance the away side will have to travel. I did phone the ground there's no problems at the moment. That's all they could give.

After last Tuesday, I'm not sure it's worth getting the old yellow scarf off the peg?
We can't play just they've come a long way...

Really feel for the Carlisle fans IF it is called off☹️☹️ You've only got see how the rivers Trent and Dove have breached their banks in the last 5 days. The water table is that high at the moment. 🤞🤞🤞

I do often wonder if the Brook right next to the stadium has any effect on the pitch & immediate ground around it, over the last few days it was almost at the top of the defenses. It can get up to around 10/11 feet deep compared to a trickle through the summer. It's probably a negligible effect if so but you never know if any seeps through.
I hope we've had the covers on the whole pitch all day today. If we have and its still got through we need some new covers.
The ground is currently closed to fans until 6:45 while they keep checking the pitch.
