Welcome back Sir Nige! Let's hope it is just as an amazing ride as it was the last time you were here. Any news on the back room staff yet?

Crosby normally his assistant manager and Garner first team coach
Did we even have a first team coach to replace?

Looks like Neil Hornby was first team coach so we've potentially got two now

Why does he attract so much negativity and resentment from both of his former clubs he's managed since he left us? It always seemed to me that he left both clubs in a better state than he found them despite the fact that, as he said today, he had other things to contend with apart from managing the team, a job he was employed to do. Ok the results weren't spectacular at either club but how much time was he given?
He'll get all the time he needs with us and he'll be allowed to manage. He'll also deal with any dissenting voices from the terraces (which he may or may not get) with the contempt they deserve.
Quite frankly I don't give a shit what the Blunts or the Sheep think. He's one of us.

My abiding memory of Garner was pre match jogging the players from one side of the pitch to the other or playing piggy in the middle passing. I never really understood how that enables you to be head coach at two major football clubs such as Sheffield and Derby. Nice bloke no doubt but this is 2015 Division 1 not part time Northern Prem 1997. I wish Nigel well but.............

Do you not think in 18 years Garner might have attended a few coaching courses - like the rest of the ex players who want to be coaches have to do now all over Britain
I've no idea but I would imagine so
When JFH first got into coaching he had no badges
He worked for Forest as striker coach. According to some of the coaches he worked with he was a lazy sod and they never expected him to go on and become a manager
It also co-incided with Forest strikers not scoring a goal for about 4 months between them whilst he was their coach
But to be fair they were shit strikers - there is only so much you can do
Just to coach at our academy now you have to be level 2 qualified or higher
You can't coach in pro football now without the badges and some knowledge apart from piggy in the middle etc
Lol

I work in Derby with a fair few Rams fans, full of praise for the job Cloughie did. I think the negative ones never forgave him for having been a player at Forest.
I hope he can carry on his good run with the Brewers. He has one his last 11 league games managing us remember.

He'll also deal with any dissenting voices from the terraces (which he may or may not get) with the contempt they deserve. I remember a section of our fans at St. Albans (I think) singing a crude song about Crosby, and Cloughie making a point of shouting back "AND YOU!".
