After a couple of years, I believe it's time for a new first team kit. Personally I like what we've worn for the past couple of seasons, and I know we've probably had this discussion in previous years, but what would we all like to see (and wear) for our debut in League 1?

I'd like the quarters but I don't think that is very saleable ...

What I would like to see, is a kit that offers the same yellow format with perhaps white instead of black to create a different away appearance. For instance the away shirt could be white with perhaps a yellow beading around the neck, and sleeves with black shorts. This would create an easy colour difference from the other colour clash teams, but all of our scarves and other general supporters accessories would not be out of place at away games, where the away kit is worn especially when there is no colour clash. There are other options as well or probably better than my example given. Some teams seem to be doing this type of thing already anyway.

I quite liked the all yellow kit we played in a Luton. Mainly because it made us look a big and imposing side, also from the stands our players were easy to pick out.

I think the kit change will depend to an extent on whether Anvil Hire extend their sponsorship deal. If they do it will be a new home shirt but if we have a new sponsor altogether then the opportunity is there to change both kits if they decide to.

Let's hope they get rid of that grey and white striped thing!

Going slightly off topic, now we're in League 1 I expect the club will be expecting sponsorships to reap a bit more money than previously. I am disappointed though that we can't fully populate the existing sponsorship boards inside the ground. I lost count of the times I looked around this year to see advertising hoardings still promoting Christmas 2014 at the Pirelli.

I just hope that when the new shirt is released it is made available to buy as early as possible and not just a few days before the start of the season, all kids want the latest kit for the summer holidays. I like the idea of using TAG as manufacturer as its a local company, I just hope this year they use a slightly better material. And Funky what is wrong with the white and grey kit?

I seriously dislike it, from a distance it looks neither grey nor white. Close up, grey and white stripes don't appeal to me at all. If you are having stripes, I prefer a dark stripe and a light stripe. Then there was the fact that the shirts were designed in the modern 'short' style with a 'slim fit'. There was a picture of one laid on top of the home shirt (of an equivalent size) and it was about 4 inches less on the chest and 5 or 6 inches shorter. Even with my svelte figure (ahem) I would not have got one to fit because it would not be long enough.
Apart from that, they are lovely :-D

A fair point there Funky about the 'slim fit' why a lot of clubs seem to be going down that route is beyond me, my kids both love the slim fit but myself having a more 'relaxed figure' I never feel comfortable wearing a shirt of that style thus I do not own one, although I like the colour. Thus.... I would like the new home shirt to be yellow with thin black stripes kind of a modern version of the 1987 trophy final shirt, but in a comfort fitting and to be launched as soon as poss.

I've got a "New Olympic" FA Trophy shirt which fit me fine back in 1987. No need for a slim fit then so I can't understand why it doesn't fit me anymore ;-)

I quite like the grey/white away kit. I believe that in order to not rip us off with a deluge of new kits, Ben indicated a number of seasons ago that the kit launches alternate and are worn for 2 campaigns, this summer a new home outfit, so the grey will be with us for one more season. I would like to see Yellow and Black quarters or a pinstripe. Me old mother used to say you always look smart in a pinstripe.

I was/am hoping for a new sponsor which would necessitate a new home and away kit. (Nicholas Humphreys Real Estate anyone ). I have always thought the away grey and white strip was ugly, maybe that's why we only wore it this season was when the home team was wearing yellow. Mind you we won the League in it.
