Anything would be better than Mr Cropper. It's drilling device looked a bit suspect. If they had a joint sponsorship with Don Amott then it would be great, imagine what we would have on the shirt!

I cannot believe yet again the club only brings the shirt out just before the first game of the season, other clubs have had their shirts out for weeks allowing youngsters (the future)to have them for the school holidays and to take away on holiday. My son who went to all home and 15 away games last season is now going to Derby this afternoon to get their latest shirt to go on holiday with.

Yes I am not happy to see a my kid who is Burton mad in a Rams shirt, but you cannot hold back a 11yr old with birthday money that has to be spent, and is telling me all his mates in their clubs latest shirts. I have been holding him back for the past 3 weeks telling him is got to be soon but ......

I think it's an absolutely genius move from the club personally.
Sky cameras are going to be there at the kit launch so we basically get an advert on constant repeat all day telling people that our new shirt is out and we start the season with a home game four days later. Great publicity! Anyone with a slight interest in the club or who were interested at the back end of last season but slid away a little bit will have had their memories jolted nice and close to the new season. Anyone who normally buys a shirt will get one anyway and I can bet the shop will be mad busy in the few days leading up to the game. It's just up to the club to make sure they're stocked up.
The club get a lot of stick for lack of publicity but I think they've come up trumps here. Regardless of what you think of Sky I'd rather have them than our local "newspaper" doing half a page on us which would have an extremely limited audience.

Thankfully I don't nor never had problems like that, a sheep shirt would never have been purchased by my lads, they wouldn't be allowed through the door with ! An unfortunate case of timing in your case, the Skysports publicity stunt is a very good move for the club in my opinion but perhaps some better pre-information regarding the date the new kit would be unveiled etc would have been useful, particularly with parents needing to satisfy their offspring. The club can't think of everything but it maybe something they can take into account if it is raised at a junior forum. You have my sympathies caley.

Recent years Forest have never known who their sponsor will be just until season starts. (Fawaz the chairman normally does it if he can't get a deal he's happy with externally)
It doesn't delay shirts being released though. You can buy them without the sponsor logo with the option to have added on at a later date FOC if you want it.
No reason that a sponsor signing up should delay shirts being launched.

The launch, as I understand it is part of what sky call '92 Live' where they spend a whole day, in the build up to the new season, going around and doing a short feature at each and every one of the 92 Premier and Football League clubs. This will be our feature item.
Frustrating not to see the new kit until just before the start of the season but will certainly get our new kit and sponsors in front of a bigger audience for its launch.

I tried to put a picture on of the new shirt but still not sussed out how to do it...But its just a replica of the first albion shirt to hipe up the 65th year of the brewers..Shame the club puts sky before the fans..that was not around at the beggining...

65th year?
That's a very strange milestone to make a big thing about with a shirt
50th or 100th I could understand
75th at a stretch

It is an interesting anniversary. But any number is just a number, there's no magical significance to it being divisible by 5. I'd have wanted a special shirt for 42, as that is the most important number in the universe.
As for the kit, if it is the original half and half shirt then I may buy one, assuming they do very large person sizes.

I do like the idea of a retro type shirt
The best anniversaries you can divide by 5 and 25 at same time
