Be interesting to see if we bring him back. Such a shame with his injuries because he is one hell of a talent.

Yeah, it's a tricky one. I doubt Cloughie will pay much if anything if he was to come back on loan, so I doubt it will happen. I would have said it depends on if Gaz takes Nasser but that now looks doubtful too as he has just signed midfielder Diego Fabbrini from Watford for £1.5m on a three-and-a-half-year contract and he has also signed Sunderland winger Will Buckley, on an initial month's loan.

Last heard Observer, he was in Wolves reserve team squad for a game on Tues/Wed.
Don't know if he actually played or not?

We don't need Zeli, we have managed thus far with what we have. That said I would have liked to have seen more of him this season, sadly that didn't happen. Nasser needs another crack at it, although I think his head has been turned, who knows what Mr Clough has in mind for him or even if any interest has been shown in him from elsewhere.

Nigel Clough says Darius Charles could head out on loan to build up his fitness – but sees the defender playing a part in the Brewers' run-in. Charles, signed by former manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink in the summer, is yet to make his first-team debut for Albion. He was signed after leaving Stevenage, having broken his leg playing for the Boro last February. Having recovered from that and made two first-team squads, Charles suffered a hamstring injury when Clough arrived at the club, setting him back for a further two months. But the 28-year-old played for the Brewers' reserves yesterday at Shrewsbury Town and could play again for the developmental squad next Tuesday when they host Wigan Athletic. BURTON Albion have been boosted by the news that Shane Cansdell-Sherriff could be fit for their trip to Southend United on Monday. The 33-year-old was withdrawn late into Albion's 1-0 win over Chesterfield last Friday as he felt a problem in his groin. Cansdell-Sherriff has already had to miss sporadic spells so far this season with groin trouble. But according to Brewers boss Nigel Clough, the former Preston defender felt his right groin and not the left one that kept him out through November and parts of December. Very important player imo. Risk him vs Southend or save him for Walsall?
A Clough call that is!

Very important player imo. Risk him vs Southend or save him for Walsall? A Clough call that is! Flanagan is nearly ready. Southend will be a more physical game, Walsall a more technical game. If Shane is ready play him against Southend, he's experienced so won't be affected by their tactics or the TV cameras. That will give Flano a few more days recovery time and his speed and physicality would work better against the lighter Walsall strikers. IMO.

Charles is slowly but surely building his way back in a bid to put this frustrating period of his career behind him. "I want to be back now!" Charles told SportMail. "In terms of this injury, you're looking at, or I've been told, 8-10 weeks but you treat the symptoms. "If you feel better, you feel better. One thing you find is that you can't really use the guidelines you're given as gospel. "You have to see how you feel. It's just a case of getting fit enough to get back into any game – under-21s, first team, whatever it is. "It's been a long time since I've played first-team football. Just to feel part of it again (at Peterborough and Wigan), be part of the match day proceedings, was a big thing for me. "The type of injury I had means it'll take time for me to get back to full fitness, but I think things are going well. "Hopefully, it won't be long before I'll actually be out there playing." Updates before the Walsall match this Sat. NIGEL Clough is hopeful both Mason Bennett and Calum Butcher will be fit for Burton Albion on Saturday. Central midfielder Butcher and left-winger Bennett were both withdrawn in the 3-1 defeat at Southend United on Monday night. Bennett pulled up chasing a ball down the channel and was taken off with a tight hamstring, while Butcher suffered a spell of cramp in his calf. It seems Tom Flanagan has fully recovered from his appendix operation as he played 90 minutes in that match. Timmy is struggling with the groin strain he got is the Port Vale reserves match.

For Fleetwood tomorrow, Albion will be without defender Anthony O'Connor (hamstring), who would have played some part in the Brewers' postponed reserve fixture on Wednesday. But striker Timmy Thiele looks set to return for the Brewers to help boost the side's attacking options. Phil Edwards picked up a severe bruise on his lower back in the 2-0 defeat at Bradford City on Tuesday but should be okay to play. NIGEL Clough does not anticipate being without left-back Damien McCrory or striker Stuart Beavon for too long – and hopes both will be fit for this weekend's visit of Barnsley. Both players missed the 1-0 defeat at Scunthorpe United on Saturday, as Beavon suffered a minor knock in training, while McCrory had a hamstring issue. Beavon was deemed fit enough to make the bench. Albion were chasing a goal but Beavon was not risked. McCrory missed out on the squad entirely, and his prognosis is a little less positive than Beavon's. From this morning's press conference:
'We aren't sure if Stuart Beavon and Damien McCrory will be fit for Saturday.' NC

When Robbie Weir was substituted on Saturday he hobbled off the pitch, surprised Radio Direby commentary team didn't spot that to be honest :-)
