He was supposed to be having a late fitness test to be fit for Southend.
Then nothing more said about him I think?

Whilst that is terrible news for Jacob, in my opinion it is good news for the Brewers. I wish him all the best with his recovery and future, he is a tireless grafter but a little short of the quality required at the top of league 1. With the loan signings I had sort of guessed this was the news we would be hearing.

Despite passing a fitness test on his back yesterday the terraceman looked a bit ropey on returning home, he isn't expected to feature again until bank holiday. Er indoors wasn't particularly happy he had aggravated the injury but his devotion to the Albion cause can't be denied !

You deserve extra pampering and extra beers for your pains.
Best of luck with that!

Did you try and pass it off as "perfectly fine" until the grimace on your face from the pain gave you away? Been there done that Whatever the reason for your bad back I totally sympathise. I've had a bad back since I were a lad and it's no fun. Earwig's advice is perfect...pampering and beer is definitely required!

Thanks lads, mobility isn't great at the moment. Getting a bit bored now, since I've been off I've taken the Albion to a Premier league title, 2 FA Cup wins, a Champions league win, a Euro Cup and the Championsip on Football manager ! Plenty of comments on here too. Going to do plenty of reading now whilst getting myself fit for Bank holiday Monday. Have toyed with the idea of going to Plymouth but don't think the long coach journey will do my back any good or please Er indoors too much !

You could win Champions League twice more in the time it would take to get to Plymouth and back! How many jobs have you turned down staying with us?

Made me smile that observer, despite asking the board to improve the ground they have refused so we are limited to a 22,000 capacity and the ground has been full every game for 2 seasons ! I have turned down virtually every job in the Premier league and the England job !
Just getting back on track, how many of our injured players are likely to be fit for the weekend ?

22,000 is still good
I bet we get on both East Midlands and West Midlands Today as well when Barcelona are in town!

Kelvin Maynard is back training with the first team squad and Florent Cuvalier is getting closer to getting back also with the squad but not just yet . Also should we have to do the play-offs , Jacob Blythe should be o.k by then , according to Jimmy .

Obviously Robbie will be available for the Wycombe game. Your best course of action is to either ignore him or block him as I did many weeks ago when openly doubted whether I was a proper supporter of the club. I can only see his posts now when other people quote him...it's made posting on here an infinitely more enjoyable experience and I can recommend it wholeheartedly.

Just wondering what has happened to MAC as I have seen no mention of him recently, is his injury worse than 1st feared ? What has got me thinking is the fact that we have bought in 2 more strikers on loan in Dunn and Johnstone.
