Just wondering what has happened to MAC as I have seen no mention of him recently, is his injury worse than 1st feared ? What has got me thinking is the fact that we have bought in 2 more strikers on loan in Dunn and Johnstone. A hamstring tweak that was due a late fitness test for the southend game appears to have become a long term actual hamstring injury

Thanks observer, we really have had some unfortunate hamstring injuries this season. Ps that's just putting 2 and 2 together and assuming nothing else has happened we haven't yet been told about It's strange that he's barely had a mention in the updates.

Two more injuries last night but Johnstone seems ok. - a clash of heads between Johnstone and Sean O'Hanlon, with both players needing lengthy treatment down the tunnel to cut heads.
- Adam McGurk suffered a seriously cut eye brow and went off for treatment. McGurk looked in a bad way when he was taken down the tunnel by physio Nick Fenton.
MAC and Dunn are both training now. Cuvelier has gone back to the Blades, he's done for the season. Maletic is still a way off so also probably done for this year. Blyth could feature in the playoffs but we won't be in them.

Sept.29th, 2015 "Everybody who has played or who has been on the bench recently is fit, though we do have a little injury with Callum Reilly," said Hasselbaink. "So we have more or less a full squad. "Ismail is back in the building and has been training, but I'm still not going to put a timescale on Zeli as it's a delicate one. "We have to be very careful with him and nurture him to get him match fit. "Hopefully we can get him on the pitch as soon as possible." Shane Cansdell-Sherriff is also expected to be fit having missed the 2-1 win over Chesterfield through illness, with Anthony O'Connor making his first league start of the season. Surprised that there was no mention of Darius Charles in that injury update?? Last thing I read a few days ago (I think) was that he's pushing for an October return. I feel sorry for the lad to be honest. He must be looking at that team at the minute and wondering how the hell he's going to get a game. Wouldn't be surprised to see him out on loan for a couple of months when he's fit to get some game time under his belt. EDIT - Sorry. My mistake. It is actually that article that says he's pushing for an October return. My excuse is I'm on nights. Sleep deprivation.

Yes, I was thinking that yesterday...how will he fit in with Ant doing so well. But injuries happen and maybe he could go the route Tafty has gone for a bit. Edit: I need to get more sleep too I guess, and read articles in greater detail .

"Just saw Nasser limping into the gym with his knee all strapped up."
That doesn't sound good...

I would let him have another good week training myself
Maybe put him on bench but only use him if really needed

View AttachmentThis is the same Nasser I saw walk in the workout gym Monday with a flimsy stretch bandage on his knee, and after 5minutes on the bike the said bandage was round his ankle. Looks of that he'll be OK

I liked Zeli when he was here first time but I really don't have huge expectations for him in the near future. Hopefully his injury is sorted and he is handled with care to get back into game shape. All the best to him!

Reading between the lines it looks like Beavon won't play on Sat. against Vale... "He's got a little problem with his calf but he's going for a scan to make sure it's not a tear or something really bad. "If that is clear then we can at least have him training again." "I think Zeli needs a few more times to come off the bench and maybe a few under-21 games," said Hasselbaink. "So don't get me wrong, I'm happy with what he's doing. "Callum Reilly (groin) is getting fit and is in the group again. Darius Charles (broken leg) is still training with the group."
