Having looked at the sending off several times, I can only assume the ref felt he led with the elbow and he was well placed. However, no reaction from the Southend players? I would have thought they would have been in the ref's face en masse. One of their players pats Robbie on the back as he lies on the floor. Also it looks like the other player had his arm across Robbie's face. It was a 50/50 ball and there is no evidence that Robbie intentionally led with his elbow in my opinion. Red card rescinded. Brilliant news - thanks for rescinding it - that should help.

I knew you were magic
How come they let you sit on tribunals for your own team though?

Enough of the questions. Without faith I am nothing.

Bury are capable of taking 18 to 20 points from last 24.
Which means we need a lot more wins yet
I'm actually hoping wycombe fall away and make this easier for us
9 more points from 24 will be enough to get promoted though one way or another
I was hoping 6 points would be enough but Bury just keep winning
Wycombe play luton on tuesday
Southend v bury next sat

Bury also have to entertain Shrewsbury yet. Good we have a 10 day break now. Promotion is ours to throw away, any setbacks for Shrewsbury, Wycombe and Bury will aid our cause. The rest although not mathematically out of the automatic promotion race have realistically fell by the wayside.

Ten day break may help some of these injuries clear up as well

That's what I'm hoping and let those who have played in the last 3 or 4 games chance to recharge and recover from any little niggling injuries. Hopefully they will be refreshed for the next set of tough fixtures.

Why are we playing on a Monday night?
Is it on TV?

yes, on Sky I believe, same reason Luton v Wycombe is being played this Tuesday. What interests me if we do gain promotion and that lot down the A38 continue to blow up is that we will only be one division below them.

I actually think we could benefit from them getting promotion. They will have even more quality players who will need loan experience and we are the obvious place to send them.

I'm not too worried about Bury, they have a wicked run of 8 games now to end the season. I think they may even do us a couple of favours. I actually think it will be of more benefit to us if they miss out on promotion and don't do well next season, it could help us attendance wise. Take your point about players but I'm not keen on playing little brother to them if we go up.

Best odds for us to get promoted now 1/33
Place 33 pounds on us to win 1
32 times out of 33 ish we should go up from this position

Actually, the best oods you can get on us getting promotion are 1/19: www.oddschecker.com/football/english/league-2/promotionThis means a 95% probability of promotion (taken from here: www.bettingexpert.com/blog/betting-odds-conversion-chart-with-implied-probability). In other words, we'd get promoted from this position on 19 occasions out of every 20. To win the league it's 8/11 (or 58%). However, this all assumes that bookmakers' odds are accurate reflections of probability when in fact they're not - they're driven by the amount of money that is being bet (which in turn is driven by the general publics' understanding of stats, which is pretty limited!). So take those figures as a rough guide, no more.

Of our 56 goals for (28 at home and 28 away) I think that was the first OG that another team scored for us.

When we win tomo night we are 5 pts ahead of Wycombe and Shrews (3 pts ahead if we draw) and 9 pts ahead of Bury (7 if we draw). When we win tomorrow night that's it, we're up (not mathematically though ) Believe! After following the Brewers and football generally for nigh on 50 seasons believe me no one gets promoted in March. Pardon? www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/31893214
