Whilst not counting any chickens so to speak or get ahead of ourselves which I'm sure JFH won't do. I have been viewing the onefootballforum site and its Real league table calculator. Very interesting reading with details of previous seasons and what should achieve automatic promotion this season. The suggestion is 85 points should guarantee promotion this season, if that works out accurate then we need 7 wins from 14 games ! I don't envisage us imploding in fact the opposite as I think we are getting stronger. Our fate is in our own hands most definitely and 21 points is well within our capabilities looking at the fixtures. Personally I am feeling confident that we will secure a top 3 finish. What's your thoughts about this fellow Brewers ? It's great to look back on this post from Feb 22nd Terraceman I've looked at the table this morning and I believe 85 points could well be the figure that takes either wycombe, bury or southend up in 3rd place I'm thinking it will be Bury myself

Not worried about them at all... Plus we are undefeated in 6 and are playing very well, unucky not to get all 3 vs Stevenage and Plymouth. I predict the table will end: Burton Shrews Bury ---------- Wycombe

I feel confident that Shrewsbury will finish in the top 2 but the 3rd automatic promotion spot is any bodies guess, Wycombe who for so long have been in the top 3 are having real injury problems, with such a small squad and now with the suspension to Aaron Pierre(so key at the back) you have to wonder if they can get over the line. Tuesday evenings game at Gigg Lane between Bury and Southend is now crucial. I would not like to predict the outcome.

Bury are capable of taking 18 to 20 points from last 24. Which means we need a lot more wins yet I'm actually hoping wycombe fall away and make this easier for us 9 more points from 24 will be enough to get promoted though one way or another I was hoping 6 points would be enough but Bury just keep winning Wycombe play luton on tuesday Southend v bury next sat So are we capable of that...don't you think? I'm not too worried about Bury, they have a wicked run of 8 games now to end the season. I think they may even do us a couple of favours. Bury v Southend Sat 28 Mar Cambridge v Bury Fri 3 Apr Bury v Morecambe Mon 6 Apr Newport v Bury Sat 11 Apr Bury v Shrewsbury Tue 14 Apr Portsmouth v Bury Sat 18 Apr Bury v Wimbledon Sat 25 Apr Tranmere v Bury Sat 2 May Read more: burtonbrewers.proboards.com/search/results?who_at_least_one=47&what_at_least_one=Bury&display_as=0#ixzz3V2tyawabWell Burys' form has fallen with 9pts out their last 15 possible inc. 2 losses whereas we have 11pts in our last 15 possible and no losses. Bury were not the threat that many thought they would be and we were underestimated in our run in. I think Southend will end in 3rd now with Wycombe or Bury in 4th. I can't see Wycombe being promoted through the playoffs though although I hope they are, an easy 6 pts in league 1

Brewers are now 4/11 with Shrewsbury 9/4, I reckon if you had backed the Brewers at 5/6 you could now be covering that bet with the 9/4 on Shrewsbury.

I can't see Wycombe being promoted through the playoffs though although I hope they are, an easy 6 pts in league 1 I'll stick with Southend for third spot. They should take Morecombe, Bury will beat Tranmere so will get third if Southend don't win. Wycombe could still get third but they need both Southend and Bury to lose, and they have to beat The Cobblers. The match that interests us most of course is if Plymouth and get a result at Shrews. They don't really have much to play for as they will finish in 7th regardless and Shrews are tough at home so not holding my breath on that one. The table could very well end exactly as it is now. We just worry about our own game and hoist the Trophy! Hope they bring the real one to Cambridge!
