I know but having highlighted JFH under pressure thought it was only fair to highlight the win

Yes observer it's good to see QPR win despite off loading their two two best players in the last week. I hope Jimmy is able to suggest how to spend some of that £4M to build his team like he did here.
On our side, I'm sure Nigel is thanking Jimmy for leaving him with such a a good, and versatile, squad. Along with the players Jimmy inherited and kept, his additions O'Connor, Butcher, Naylor, Duffy all played a big part in today's win and Reilly and Nasser also played their part.
I think last seasons fixtures Morecambe away (guaranteed promotion) and Cambridge away (crowned League Two Champions) were bigger away fixtures than today.

Not sure on this one, Morecambe guaranteed promotion but this was in effect just a win over a bigger club with nothing long term achieved yet.

Perhaps for many of us there it felt like a coming of age. We are League One and we can out compete the best the League has to offer. But back to the thread I'm very pleased that Jimmy and David have achieved the first of many wins in very difficult circumstances in managing at QPR.

Spot on Mikey having watched the Brewers as long as you have I have no doubt in terms of league victories this is the one. I was actually repeating what Tony Bentley on Radio Derby said - it was the biggest league crowd we had ever played in front of by around 2,700 I believe. So hardly a marginal increase. We were also in our highest league position ever and playing the team in 4th place. Who happen to be a club that graced the top division for many years. In one of the biggest stadiums we have ever visited in the league. So in my eyes anyway - the biggest fixture in our League history to date.

Wasn't this a bigger crowd than playoff final at Wembley as well?
Or similar

Wasn't this a bigger crowd than playoff final at Wembley as well? Or similar 14700 at Wembley. Probably more Brewers fans at Wembley than the Richo ( if that's at all relevant to the debate)

Peacockbrewer J-F-H- has moved on to a bigger club to further his career ,to mention his first league win is fine. To follow his career is natural,But to try to play down a great victory, and,Achievement by the team does you or J-F-H-=any good. J-F-H has moved on,and his time is spent at a london club, ,History is past,And a brilliant win at Coventry is now Your defence if him is out of order,He wasn't sacked,by the club,he left for greener pastures. Burton Albion is now and he is no longer committed,So we should concentrate on the future And to beat a top club like coventry on their own patch,is a great achievement,,

As I've asked previously, Nigel did the same (left for greener pastures) and that didn't stop people from singing his praises of what he accomplished when was here (and rightly so). What is the difference with Jimmy? But, it's a public forum. You don't make the rules. Before someone starts, this thread was tried to be laid to rest by cbh (and myself) a page or two back but some can't let it go.

I am not on any side but I am guessing the difference is that Nigel gave us 10 years and Jimmy 1 year. Myself I a more than happy with both their contributions and absolutely delighted to see our Nige back with the Brewers.

Seems like some don't appreciate, the difference between the divisions d1v 2,A lot of small clubs,ie Morcombe - cambridge and to many in div 1 would call it a disaster i-e Sheff Utd--Coventry--Peterborough-,and many more to be in div 2,The standard is higher in div i,and to compare the leagues is a joke , Every one is waiting for the bubble to burst for Albion,80 per-cent of Coventry fans expecting a win,and the bookies favouring a home win. This match was a mile stone in Burton's history and a well earned win,and not to be compared with previous matches,,Don't see the point This season is one to enjoy,,Burton Albion a div 1 club, sounds unreal

I am sure everyone appreciates the difference between L1 and L2. Some so-called big clubs are in L2 or even L1 because of poor financial and management decisions. Burton Albion don't suffer from either of those. We are here because we deserve to be here, and I personally do not see the bubble about to burst. Pesch started to build a team for league football, Gaz improved on that team and Jimmy continued to improve the team and took us to another level. He left the team halfway through the season at the top of the L1 and Nigel has continued to keep us there in the 4 (5 if you want) games he has managed so far. We have been excellent since game one in L1 and I don't see that ending any time soon. We had wins away a Wigan and Gillinham and now Coventry. I'm not going to put them on a pedestal because of their past, we are a better team and deserved to win that game regardless of what the bookies and every one else say. As per this time last season we just need to believe it is going to happen because the odds are it is.
