Brazil are bunch of cheating little babies. New rules needed.
Anyone making a gesture intended to persuade the ref to issue a card should be yellow carded themselves.
Anyone rolling around in agony after being brushed against gets a big pink plaster with a teddy bear on it to wear for the rest of the game.
Any combination of pink plaster and card waving gets an instant red, 5 match ban and a course on hardening the "I've just used a rather silly word and been auto-edited" up you soft Brazillian censored.word.

Anyone imitating Tom Daley when a defender puts his hand on your shoulder, thus conning the ref and ruining the game = has to play rest of game with a dummy in their mouth....

These are the kind of decisions you get from an organisation with a man like Sepp Blatter in control. What was wrong with Croatia's 2nd goal and the 1st two goals Mexico scored against Cameroon ? With the way FIFA views England because of the English "gutter press" I would be extremely shocked if we got the better of any decisions. We usually get shabby treatment from officials at the World cup, Maradona's hand ball and Lampard's shot over the line being just a couple of examples. So don't expect the officials to do us any favours. We aren't playing on a level playing field ! and I am not referring to the state of the pitch at the Amazonia stadium in Manaus !

An absolute brilliant cross from Daley Blind onto RVPs head for a stunning goal, 1st candidate for GOTT.....

A few more observations: - Tim Cahill will challenge RVP for gott, so far at least - think the Yanks play some nice footy, shame about the last minute error vs Portugal - Belgium have been very old style Germanesque so far (bore you to death for 80 minutes, make a couple of subs and Bang One In). I wouldn't write them off yet.

Well, the germans made the yanks look very ordinary, and Belgium rested several players but still managed another win... Belgium-USA should still be a cracker...as should Brasil-Chile and Mexico-Holland

Brasil-Chile...what a match!!! Excellent performances from those in Yellow, Red and Green.....and it all came down to a 1/2" of a post! Mr. Webb was the first person to offer condolences to Jara....and nice to a referee not have to use the gilette can to control the wall for once.
Columbia-Uruguay....brilliant goal from James Rodriguez again....GOTT so far!

This World cup is wide open, you would have to fancy one of the South American countries to win it but I would never bet against the methodical Germans ! They might just be the first Europeans to win a World cup on the South American continent. Now we are into the knockout stage we will see what the teams are made of. I would say anyone can win it with the exception of U.S.A., Greece, Costa Rica, Switzerland and Nigeria, none of which have the strength in depth. I don't want the Germans to win it by the way, I would be quite happy to see Algeria gain revenge for the fixed result in 1982 in Spain.

Arjen Robben will be representing Holland in the pool on the high board at the next Olympics, He has loads of ability but I really dislike his constant theatrical diving any time any one tries to tackle him, totally conned the referee in tonights game against Mexico.

Robben is a 'kin cheat, FIFA should focus on dealing with that instead of buying Gillette products...
Costa Rica - Greece took a 91 minutes to get started but became very exciting. Should have gone straight to extra time. Gotta feel for Greece, they left it all on the pitch.

Surely FIFA should give Robben a ban for deliberate cheating, i'm not suggesting anything like Suarez but a 3 or 4 international game ban would suffice and set a presidence that would help stamp this blatent cheating out of the game. I was a striker and never ever took a dive throughout my playing career. Other things noted was the scenes of great joy in Costa Rica after the penalty shoot out victory over Greece and we certainly have some juicy Q/finals to look forward too !

Algerians were soooo unlucky, dominated the first half. If thay had popped one the 3 good chances they had in it would have have been an interesting 2nd half. But the Germans were the fitter bunch outlasted them. Halliche was fantastic at CB and What a great cross and goal in the 121' though.

Belgium-USA, I think that may well have been one of the top 5 WC football games that I have seen since England-Cameroon in 1990....Two teams who just wanted to play footballl, Fairplay, Heart, Passion, Desire, no cheating, very little histrionics, did I mention Fairplay...The easiest game a referee at that level will have to do because for the most part the players refereed themselves. The Belgian team, managers, players - very well done, deserved the win and hope you go all the way and lift the Cup! But my focus has to be on USA, if only every team/country played the game like they played last night, absolutely inspiring. There are too many highlights to mention and too many players who could be named Man of the Match, from both teams. But that is the way football should be, and used to be, played! Even the commentators caught the bug, listen at 121min. I hope the highly paid prima-donnas were watching. THANK YOU USA!!! www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/worldcup2014/article-2677169/MATCH-ZONE-STATS-SPECIAL-Tim-Howard-sets-new-World-Cup-record-making-15-saves-USA-against-Belgium.htmlAnd Michael Bradley has covered a World Cup-leading 23.6 miles, or 38 kilometers, in 4 games.

I agree with much of that, in fact most of that, it was a great game played in a good spirit. There were though 38 fouls and two yellow cards, it wasn't that corinthian.
