Back to reality.
I expect us to turn up and do a job. I think Nigel will have them in the right frame of mind and the players will enjoy playing against people of their standard.
There'll be no hangover - just relief at getting back to the day job.
I hope we take our frustrations on the Gills.
I'll be there - COYB!!!!

Good man, back to reality. I purchased an extra 4 tickets yesterday for this one, family day out, looking forward to it as always.
Nigel said post match interview, the players can extract revenge on Saturday against Gillingham, hopefully they weren't watching that too.

Yep.
As good as it is as a day out for the players playing against the best in the world, it must also be demoralising to know you're at your peak, but you're so far off the top. Perhaps that's just my negstive mentality though. I usually think we're screwed if we're 1-0 down 😁
It's a home game, I haven't been for a while due to family commitments over Xmas and the previous home game to Xmas was 8th Dec...!
So I'll pop along and support the boys, in a game I'll enjoy substantially more than tonight, before, during and hopefully after the game!

Gillingham home sat a banana skin, will we have recovered from chasing shadows,we lost 3-1 at Priestfield , a Tom Eaves scoring 2 goals .There Stadium holds 11-587==average attendance 5-343,no players of note, so a wage budget of 1 million more than the brewers in gate recipes. They beat Cardiff in the F-A cup Having a hit n miss season by beating Portsmouth it shows a shock is always on the cards, and of coarse Cardiff. Being a standard league 1 club, not even twice the size of the Brewers,Burton Albion at home would expect to take a draw at least. Tired legs still in shock, a expectant home crowd concede a goal and the Pirelli could be a cold lonely place. Will take a point

Of course, Trev - they beat Cardiff. Thank you. We lost 9-0. A bit of overconfidence after the Lord Mayor's show (on their part).
Brewers win.

Right all I’m 10 mins early for final train out of Birmingham and rest assured I’m smashed. I’ve got a few issues in that the Mrs has left me with the kids on Saturday and it will just therefore be Britty & Son attending the game. I am gutted about this because it’s a big encounter where we need to doink Gillingham to punish them for their pony no-rain-cover away stand even though I’ve never been there myself even when we spanked them 3-0 a couple of seasons back (where were you then Bradley Dack?!) Anyway enough is enough, see you all at the Bradford game albeit I am not ruling out a cheeky trip to Donnie. Come on you Brewers! Best team in the land.

Absolutely bloody ridiculous that we should lose that. We have lost some poor games at home this season where we have played well and been robbed but today takes the biscuit against pretty poor opposition. How we can concede three goals to that rubbish is unbelievable.
Just heard Nigel's after match interview and he lays the blame purely and simply to the experienced defenders I.e. Turner and Brayford today. You can add Quinn to that as well with his part in the second goal. Misplaced pass for the free kick and then handball in the wall. I like Quinn and hope we can signed him permanently but those couple of minutes cost us.
Some of our attacking play was great and really exciting but for me we were too frenetic after it went 2-2. It was if we had to win the game in the next few minutes when arguably one more goal would have done it and we had a good half an hour to find it. Really poor to lose it at the end though.
Same feeling tonight as we've had several times this season where we have lost a game we should have won by a country mile.

I have absolutely no idea how we lost that. We hammered them. Dominated. Out played. Gills aren’t a good side. 31 shots on goal against 7 . AND WE LOST!
We’ve missed our chances all season, but to miss 29 in one game? Ok only ten of these were on target but it shows how we dominated. I think it shows our defence up but on the other hand if we don’t score then we ain’t gonna win.
I have no answers, I hope Nige has.
Two goals from Scot were fantastic especially the 2nd. We could and should have won. Comfortably.
Is it time to renew the defence?

I have no idea how you think straight or write something comprehensive after a result like that, so shortly after. I'm still shell-shocked
