Their goalie was 6' 9'' apparently. No, he is 8ft 3, I read it on the same website where I saw that the Tories are compassionate... Ooo political. I heard he voted Brexit 😉

Having had 31 shots and only scored 2 I also think we have to bring the attackers into the discussion?
It's not all about the defence. Although scoring 2 at home should normally be enough to win
Think Gillingham had 7 shots and scored 2. All 7 shots on target.
Think we had 10 or 11 on target from 31.
When city put 9 past us they had 28 shots and 14 on target

When city put 9 past us they had 28 shots and 14 on target I don't like blaming anyone cos I love them all but you've really got a point here. I've seen more games than usual this season (I've being going to more away games) and it'd be interesting to see the stats over the last ten games. WE ARE ABSOLUTELY BATTERING TEAMS. How many shots have we had in the last ten league games. How many shots on target? For a guess, I bet we've had 150 shots, 30 on target and ten goals? Not good enough. Over the last ten games, this has been our problem. Marcus' miss (sorry mate) was very typical of our shooting. When that sailed over the bar, I wasn't surprised - that's the quality of the Brewers' shooting. My memory fails me but Jamie Allen & Marcus ballooned easy shots the other week. Plymouth? At Rochdale, we should have won 9-0 (ha ha) - we had the chances. The defence are playing really well. When Kyle got injured, I wondered if that free-flowing football would stop but it's continued; Ben & Brayf were gliding out of defence yesterday, something Reece has started doing (yes, he DID have an off day yesterday). What's happened to Devante Cole? If he had the same game time as Ben & Reece, I'n sure he'd benefit. McCrory - past his best. He was always better going forward than defending. Sorry. One last thought. How did we earn points in the Championships. By throwing ourselves in front of the opposition's shots and taking our chances when they came. That's what other teams are doing against us.

Maybe we should stop this free flowing stuff and grind out 1-0, aka Gary rowett.

Not really Sleepless,i completely agree with Nige what he says in his post match interview on ifollow, defenders have to defend and we have to put away a bigger percentage of our chances simple. He is looking at bringing in defenders and lets face it 2 goals should be enough to win that game Gillingham are not one of the better teams In our league are they.

All the usual frustrations. An element of bad luck though. That first goal, a ricochet in defence fell straight into List's stride, pure fluke. He's as quick as any I've seen this year though. Brilliant run. Not looked at the replay for the handball yet, missed their handball in the box but how is the blatant shove on Jamie not a penalty? If it wasn't, why wasn't he booked for diving?
No element of hangover from midweek, we kept going to the end. Gills fans I spoke to in the pub after couldn't believe they'd won.
I do think Nigel got it wrong when he put the new lad on the right wing. Lucas was terrorising them at that stage and needed to keep doing so. New lad can play anywhere on the right, so why not right back at that point. No argument with Templeton for Will, like for like with the more experienced man coming on fresh at that point.
We're a work in progress. The games are better to watch than backs to the wall every week in the Championship. It's great watching the young players develop. Top 10 this season, I'd be ok with that.

I agree Colston the football is far better to watch and the top ten finish would be ok but I think with a couple of additions to our team it could be higher we are a better team than our league position is indicating.

I agree we are a better team than the position indicates, emnez, but it's the nature of football that half the division's fans think that about their team. Plymouth looked better than most teams who've come to the Pirelli this season but look where they are. The gap to the play-off places is a big one now.

I agree with Colston too.
Improvements can be made in defence yes but if we'd come away with at least a 3-2 win yesterday all would have been forgiven.
One day we will absolutely hammer a side, when our luck changes.
Burnley 2 Fulham 1 Shots on target Burnley 0 Fulham 4
Fulham had a good chunk of the play, corners etc, it happens crazy football.

Maybe we should stop this free flowing stuff and grind out 1-0, aka Gary rowett. Definitely not. Just defend a bit better and finish chances more clinically. Easy! Lol

I think many on here find it difficult to ever be critical of or critique comments by NC? may I suggest that NC is masking some of his own frailties? after all it was NC who..... selects the side who constantly plays players out of position in many cases totally uncessary. Is it surprising therefore that there is a lack of cohesion with right backs playing centre back left backs playing right back right wings playing centre back centre back playing holding midfield centre backs playing left back right wings playing left wing and four goalkeeoers used already this season makes simplistic assessments of a game like yesterday conveniently ignoring some facts relating to the game criticises the “defence” and blames them for losing like yesterday when in fact the winning goal yesterday was scored by a Gills midfielder who was allowed to runoff our midders unchallenged into our box to score and anyone who was there yesterday or cares to watch the video will see Scott Fraser put his hands on his head in anguish because he knows he has let the Gills lad get away from him and score. the defenders we have at the club were recruited by NC and as we all know he mad great play at the start of the season that there were only 5 of them and they were expected to do the job. All of the five are over thirty and to expect the likes of Brayford anf Turner to play 50 to 60 games this season is ridiculous. That is the only fenu8be reason we need more defenders not criticising them for performances after an incredibly heavy games schedule. finally if NC is that concerned about defending weaknesses why did he play Steven Warnock for over 20 games last season in the championship when it was patently obvious he was struggling and that decision by NC can quite legitimatly be given as the reason we were relegated by just one point? NC has to take responsibility and accept criticism and be honest with us. He makes some crazy decisions aswell and they have cost us easily as many points as the defensive errors he blames for our losses

Templeton on for Miller was a logical move yesterday which backfired. Unusually Templeton didn't get up to too much, though looked nice on the ball, created very little.
If we get those stats vs man city in the home leg we may stand a chance of bagging 10 😂

Polarisation is common on social media

Ive given him and much more importantly the team lots of support this season but it seems to me that on many occasions when we dont get a fair rub of the green the manger resorts to petulant criticism of induviduals and or the team. It is never NC fault no matter how we line up or who he plays? That is my issue

The players were great; I'm an idiot." I know it's stretching a little bit................but if John Terry had scored that penalty in Moscow, Avram Grant would have kept his job. Ludicrous. You pick players and you expect them to do a job. But he missed, cried and then lost - it was one of the most beautiful moments in football history. PS I rarely listen to after match interviews. I was there - I know what happened.
