I'm like Michael Jackson when you need a friend. (apart from the suntan, the brilliant dancing, the ows, the shaboos, the come ons, and the liking monkeys and children bit) www.youtube.com/watch?v=b0yNdCCubyI Just call my name....I'll be there ;-)

We are obviously having to pick a team without Jackson but also Murphy for this game
The good news is Lund was on the bench for Northern Ireland on Monday night so must be pretty much recovered from his ankle injury
This is a very tough game against an in form Leeds
Draw would be a great result

Here we go again at Leeds Utd, our midfield missing two major players Murphy and Irvine ,What a occasion what a club Leeds Utd at Elland road. Infratructure fan base history, one of the biggest clubs in footballs history ,A very intimidating place to be. Broomo and the Burton fans enjoying a special occation. A good start for Leeds, a very cosmopolitan team assembled with high expectations this season. Sorry a loss from me. Leeds a hard place to go, But seeing Burton there a great occasion and memory,

Christiansen has got them playing some really good stuff as well, I know the fans still occasionally chant for Gary Monk but it won't be long before he's forgotten and they all bow down to the new lad. He comes across as a decent bloke, clearly very bright and he's managed to get his views across really quickly.
The two lads Saiz and Alioski look very dangerous indeed, overall their signings look better than solid. The big centre half Jansson, the keeper from Germany even though he hasn't looked convincing he's kept 4 clean sheets out of 5 in the league, Vernon Anita, Hernandez, Phillips and young O'Kane in the midfield all good quality, they've got a couple of strikers as well who we've not seen anything of yet but they've got high hopes for in Lasogga and the young lad Grot from Holland. Hopefully neither of those lads is ready to start again cos they're both strong as oxes and run all day.
Like a lot of games away to big clubs, I fear the worst and hope for the best, games like these I STILL write off as a 0-3 before we turn up, anything better than that and I'm pretty satisfied. I go to the game thinking they could murder us but I come away from most games thinking we've done really well.
Really looking forward to seeing how WE line up. I'd expect Bray to come straight in - match fit or not match fit. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Allen start in central midfield and I'd expect Mason to be start with Sordell dropping down to the bench.
Bywater, Brayford, Buxton, Turner, McFadzean, Dyer, Allen, Scannell, Lund, Akins, Mason.
I think that's my preferred line up until Murphy comes back in.

I think you're more informed than a lot of our own fans. I think everything you've said is spot on about our team and the stand out players. Last year under Monk we won points but I can't say the performances were ever fantastic, I always felt like we would be caught up as we had no plan b, it was essentially be really solid and hope Wood scores more than the opposition. This season we're playing an exciting style of play that is great to watch with the likes of Alioski and Saiz looking like very good players. However I feel it's definitely too early to judge how good the current team is as there are just so many unknowns at this point. It's going to be close to a sell out on Saturday and when that happens we're notoriously bad... so your luck might be in.

It's going to be close to a sell out on Saturday and when that happens we're notoriously bad... so your luck might be in. [ I like t keep up with what's going on in the Champ in general Leeds but I'd be mad not to pay attention to you lot. I'm a bit of a traditionalist and want to see Leeds back where they belong. I've managed to see four of your games this season and you've looked sharp in all of them, especially going forward. I like to see you playing such good stuff and quite fancy you to be top 4 all the way through. The strength of your squad let us have Luke Murphy as well and any side strong enough to see him as not good enough to get in the squad has to be decent. He's been really good for us. As someone who grew up close to the forest squad of the late 80's early 90's Leeds goes a long way back for me with players like harry Hodge, Chris fairclough and chapman playing for you made me like you even when I didn't. Enjoyed watching some special games and some special players and most of the time "we" came out on top. I hope we surprise you on Saturday, in spells we play much better stuff than we're given credit for and if we are able to get on the front foot we'll cause you some real issues. Just think you've got a bit too much quality for us and even if we stop the new lads Phillips has shown he's a real threat as well. Nervous we'll get a real hiding but our lads don't let us down often. All the best after Saturday pal. Hope this is a big season for you lot.

Brewers have nothing to lose here. No points expected. But a great performance by the new look squad and a bit of the old Clough - Leeds Chemistry and who knows???

There were some complementary comments towards Clough from the Leeds support during last seasons game at Elland Rd!! Will he care, no. Will he want to win, yes. Must say the atmosphere away at Leeds was the best I experienced in the Championship last season (the Newcastle fans were surprisingly subdued except for when the ref made his error for the peno) though they are living off their past all the time (the big screen showing goals from the halcyon days before KO just one example).

Yes agreed. There was some interesting banter last time. Do they chant for Don Revie every week or was that just for NC's benefit? One thing's for sure, if we come away with nothing on Saturday it will not be for lack of trying!

The most partisan support without a doubt, quite hostile even against little old Burton Albion. Wanted to win so much.

Reading all the experts 3-0 or more to Leeds. Any thing less will be a Yorkshire meltdown. And close scrutiny of the ref, Looking forward to channel 5 if we get a result, There will be something for the F-A -to look at

Anything less or a draw we will be the also rans towards the end of the show and Colin Murray might even mention we did ok. That Iwelumo bloke will no doubt find a red card incident against us, god forbid if we win, we'll have the freedom of Gods Own Country.

C5 won't lose any sleep about upsetting a handful of Brewers fans! Their only concern is the viewing figures and we must contribute least of all to those! However I suspect there's one or two enlightened types who like to see Burton do well even if they support another side first.

They need this to excite that programme, worth a red card. www.youtube.com/watch?v=V8kxMnc5KUsOnly joking, can only be bad for the game. All the same I was there, when players were hard and didn't go down like a sack of spuds at the slightest touch, happy days. Sorry it was Derby but there you go, memories.

Hello everyone☺☺☺ Broomo, your knowledge is very impressive but i have been asked to point out that the chant for Gary Monk isnt positive and there are some err, Colourful words that go with his name. Long story short im a member of the MOTforum and im going around asking Championship rivals a few questions, having a bit of a discussion and reporting back. To tired now but I'll do a thread tomorrow and good luck (not to much) for the game. For anyone interested. www.motforum.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=34686&start=20

Our team looks really good on paper...
Bywater
Brayford Mcfadzean Turner Buxton Warnock
Scannell Allen Lund Akins
Mason
Naylor, Sordell, Dyer all benched... And we have Murphy to fit in somewhere too next week? We will have 18 who are 'first team' nailed on starters...
Crikey!
