Losing at any time is always a disappointment. For what it is worth, I expect us to win and I want us to carry on winning and win the league. I also bear in mind though the goals we perhaps realistically set ourselves (please forgive the plural possessive pronoun, I struggle to avoid talking about "we" when talking about Burton Albion despite my status as lowly supporter) which would have been to survive and consolidate in League 1. With that in mind, it would be no failure on Mr Clough and his team's part if we did slip a few results between now and the end of the season. League 2??? Point conceded. Well played sir. :-)

All I can say is that I hope these gentleman didn't party like i did last night as if they did i would be more worried than usual about the officials!
Mark Heywood will be the man in charge when Doncaster Rovers travel to Burton Albion on Saturday.
The Yorkshire official has taken charge of 12 games so far this season showing 36 yellow cards and 3 reds.
Heywood was last in charge of Burton in August of last season when they beat Exeter City 1-0 at home.
This will be his second game in charge of Doncaster this season having taken charge of their 3-1 defeat at Sheffield United in September in a game where he sent of Doncaster defender Gary Mackenzie.
Referee: MARK HEYWOOD (Yorkshire) Assistants: Rob Massey-Ellis and Kevin Morris Fourth Official: Robert Jones

I have just had an interesting fbook exchange with my Doncaster fan friend. We were talking about the game and I said that Doncaster will be a different team under Ferguson. He pointed out the similarities between him and Clough- being the sons of the father; he wondered how much, if any influence Fergie had upon his son now that he has retired from management. I wonder if he comes to many matches as Brian used to at Eaton Park?

As far as I am aware Fergie senior is still very much involved at Man U as a director and life president, still wielding considerable influence, sitting in the stands at home games, a monkey on the back of each succesive manager.

I'm looking forward to today's game more than most. Feels like the start of a new chapter, but never was continuity the order of the day. I hope Nigel keeps to the same formation and team. I've heard Shane is fit again, but young Flanagan has done well and deserves his place. I'm pretty sure Nasser will do the business today, as he had a bit of stick for his reaction and I expect a big response from him - two goals and 3-0

Late on parade is me, sorry. Update - - Donny scores first at 4 mins in, then Butcher score for BAFC at 18 mins to tie the score. Now Butcher gets his second goal making the score 2-1 for BAFC at 61 mins. Donny scores a second goal as well at 70 mins and we are now tied at 2-2. C O Y B you can do this -

Duffy puts one in the net at 89 mins. Final score is 3-3, we take a point and we remain in first place three points clear of second.
Thnx Lads and COYB - - -

That game was absolutely mental... Great game.
Just the wrong result.
El khayati was invisible for much of the second half. Defence was not particularly brilliant today, which is unusual, not sure what's changed. The second penalty was ridiculous defending. Elbow in the back when ball was well over head.
Duffy was great but should hae scored when 1 on 1 in the 90th!unfortunately sticks in the memory...

My only other comment...
We were under the cosh for much of the second half. I'm not sure why we didn't make a change sooner than we did.

Think in the longer term this could be a point gained rather than 2 dropped.
If Doncaster continue to play under Ferguie like that they will wreke plenty of havoc on the top teams by the seasons end.
More to the point they will probably be up there with us.
The way he seems to play if posh were anything to go by is to go for it,you score 3 we will try for 4.
Cracking game and nice to see over 3000 Brewers in the ground despite it being last weekend before Xmas.
