I say 3700 tops and that's being very generous and hoping around 500+ away fans can tear themselves away from Xmas shopping and come along.
Hope I'm wrong and loads more get along to this one, the club, players and most of all Mr Clough deserve a nice welcome back and for last Sat win.

When we were promoted to L2 our avg attendances went from 1800ish to 3200ish the first season, and some of that would have been down to higher away numbers, as well as higher local support. then over the next 4 seasons it hovered between 27K-29K. Last season when we were rolling and eventually won the league the avg went backup to 32K . It would have been expected and nice if 'our' numbers had taken another big jump like in 2009-10 but it hasn't happened. Attendances have been higher this season but that is as much to do with increased away numbers than an increase in our numbers. We are getting a few hundred more on avg but it has to grow. So everyone bring a friend or two. That's a massive jump from 3200 to 32k. How do we fit 32k in a 7k stadium?[/b] Its easy the first 7 thousand in all have 3.571428571428571 people on there shoulders

Should be a goodun, both teams on form in last 6 games but ours is better.
Burton 5-0-1 Donnybrook 4-1-1
With the excitement surrounding the return of Nigel I'll go for a 2-0

I believe we lost one vs Bury didn't we?
Our wins have come against (in last 5) were vs positions: 4, 6, 8, 22 Their wins came against: 14, 17, 19
So quite different opposition that their form has come against - nevertheless will carry into this game.

Interestingly, the positions of the teams (based on home/away table) for our next 5 are: 22, 13, 17, 21, 2 - i.e all the bottom half.
Good run of fixtures for Nigel to get going with!

Thanks, edited my post to reflect that loss. I must have been bending the results in Jimmys favour again So an even tighter form table between the two teams. Think we'll pull it off though. The positions you mention, are those the current table or the table when we played the teams?

Current positions - can't imagine they've changed too much over the past few weeks! I don't have the time to do that I have a question: Are we 'doing a Leicester'? Midlands representing.

Seems like it. The so called experts have them to fall away soon and start to slide down the table. I won't make a prediction as to whether I will be appearing in public in my underwear though (re Gary Lineker) if Burton take the L1 title, that's more of a possibility I think.

Had a read through some Donny fans forum stuff, looks like they will bring a fair few(700+) Saturday. In my opinion they seem to be dismissing us lightly as they have done well against us in the past and seem confident of victory. There is some respect but you get the feeling they still look upon us as small fry. Would be nice to beat them and then they can complain about our cheating and diving tactics ! Expecting a close game but certainly expect at least a point on the return of young man Mr Clough.

I don't think that they've beaten anyone too notable in the league thus far?
We'd certainly be by far the best victory they've had...

Twas ever thus Terraceman ! but being dismissed is one of our secret weapons… We have been on the wrong end of many 'special games' such as the opening of stadiums .. both Chesterfield and Rotherham spring to mind,; anniversary games like at Port Vale or just being there when only home fans get in cheap and we are charged full price- Bradford. Hopefully the welcoming back of Clough will be an occasion when fate is on our side. Also I am particularly looking forward to this one as one of my old friends is a vocal Donnie fan and the bragging rights are definitely of great value... here is the link to their main forum (hopefully) doncasterroverssupportersgroup.org/forum/ vikingchat seems a more active forum however.. www.drfc-vsc.co.uk/index.php?board=2.0

If we don't get 3 points on Nigel's return to the Pirelli it has to be a big disappointment surely? We've lost one game in our last 8 and they are 15th in the table!

Losing at any time is always a disappointment. For what it is worth, I expect us to win and I want us to carry on winning and win the league. I also bear in mind though the goals we perhaps realistically set ourselves (please forgive the plural possessive pronoun, I struggle to avoid talking about "we" when talking about Burton Albion despite my status as lowly supporter) which would have been to survive and consolidate in League 1. With that in mind, it would be no failure on Mr Clough and his team's part if we did slip a few results between now and the end of the season.

Not a failure by any means to 'slip a few 'results as you say. As you know, I'm talking about his return to the Pirelli, a loss would be a disappointment for him as well as us. But not the end of the world or reason for anyone to moan. I think playoffs has to be the goal.
