Will be interesting to see how this one goes...
A sour taste in their mouths following the last game where the referee disallowed a goal for no reason haha.
Tickets, for me, are too much for such an early stage of the competition. I went to Southampton vs Villa for £12 in the league cup last week... This is £15 advance/£19? On the door. I know there's a £10 minimum etc but hey. I'd go for £10. Suspect the attendance will be low.
Anyway, hopefully we win. It's not what this game offers, more the future prospects of the 3rd which are exciting. Would be amazing to 'do a Bradford'.

Would be nice to get another win over the posh but i think it will be a close game.
Completely agree with the above comment about ticket prices... should be as low as possible to try and get people through the gate... be around the 2000 mark i would imagine.
1-0 to the brewers

We have got our tickets and to be honest I was quite happy at £15, I wouldn't want to pay £19 so in that respect I think it should be £15 on the gate. Hoping for a win to progress to bigger rounds and hopefully teams.

If they can afford to do that then we can surely bring the prices down.

I think like swaddy said, £15 isn't to bad for the game but it is when it is £19 on the gate it is a problem.
FC United of Manchester are an odd one. I respect their philosophy etc and what they have done with the ticket prices is a nice touch but trying to prevent the game being on a Monday as it was selected for TV is madness... Money like that is priceless to non league clubs.

It is a difficult one, we are not playing a non League team who would find the full pricing a bit of a step, but a team at our level. So, £15 isn't too bad. I do think though a £4 on the day hike is unreasonable and will put off the few floating supporters.
As for FCUM, I applaud all they are doing, they are approaching running a club from a supporters point of view. It is refreshing. Whether they will be able to sustain it if they go through the leagues will be interesting to see.

Where have you seen that? All I have seen on their official site is "FC United’s usual price is £9. If the minimum adult price of £10 is applied, FC United will be issuing a £1 voucher to all adult ticket holders that they can spend on food and drink or merchandise at the ground." Anyway it's irrelevant because the FA and Chesterfield have given permission to charge their usual matchday admission price of £9. We are 3 leagues higher than FCUM. £15 is perfectly fine for a league one v league one fa cup tie. The fa cup is a much bigger competition than the league cup and we've enjoyed some excellent runs and results in it in recent years. Personally I wouldn't have been annoyed if it had been usual price. However I agree about the on day price hike being too much and putting some people off.

I wasn't sure on their numbers - but the principle is still the same. I guess it's just me - I think Football is quite expensive anyway haha (then again I am tight...)

JIMMY Floyd Hasselbaink is leaving his Burton Albion squad under no illusions that he expects a much better performance over 90 minutes tomorrow than the last time Peterborough United visited the Pirelli Stadium. Hasselbaink blasted his side post-match, describing them as arrogant and sloppy and branding the display 'rubbish'. Since then the Brewers have largely impressed – two defeats to Walsall and Fleetwood Town aside – and Hasselbaink expects a better performance from his side in the FA Cup first round tomorrow (3pm kick-off). How long until the first fake injury induced break and team talk by Westley today ? I'll go for 19 minutes. I expect this to be a totally different type of game to the previous encounter with Posh kicking and fouling, being ultra competitive and going for the jugular. That might just suit us though playing on the counter. I expect a couple of changes to the line up but not sure who or where.

As soon as we are getting on top GW will call a time out to try to break the play up, as much as people may hate him it has to be said he is a master tactician, we just have to hope Jimmy and David are wise to it and out think him.

If he isn't then I feel Flanagan will start with Moose and Ant will sit with Butcher in Naylors role.

I didn't know if I could make today's game till this morning. I tried to buy a ticket on line and by phoning the club but discovered tickets had to be bought by 5pm Friday to get em for £15. So now I have to pay £19.
I will because I'm a fan and I want to see the game but I thought I'd have another rant about this differential ticket pricing. I hate it - all this marketing and commercialisation b*llocks.
I know that we're now a big League One club and someone will probably try to tell me that this is simply behaving like one, but I don't like it, wherever it appears - train fares, gas, electric whatever. Someone else might try to tell me it's about competition driving down prices. To which I will again reply "b*llocks" it's about ripping off consumers who just get confused, conned and most or too many end up paying the higher price. Why isn't there just one price for watching a match whenever and wherever you pay for it? Part of me hopes the club does lose revenue if some are put off from paying today's higher price on the gate. Some sort of fan's fight back. Maybe I'll turn up five minutes late like Munich fans did for the Arsenal game but knowing my luck the Brewers would score the only goal of the game then........ Rant over (for now)

Bless you everard, understand what you are saying. Just to tip you over the scale, I nipped down to get my ticket yesterday and was charged £13-50, on checking I was sold a senior ticket ! Now before you all jump on the band wagon and rip me to bits, I was wearing a hat and only grey hair was showing so i'll give them the benefit of the doubt !
