I suspect that the last time we had six consecutive home wins could well have been the season we won promotion to League Two. We went on a run of twelve consecutive league wins before Nigel Clough left for Derby, I could be wrong, and I am sure some statistician will correct me if I'm wrong. I think this is also a record for league two consecutive wins.

We won 9 home games in a row under Rowett a few years ago around the time we played Leicester in the FA Cup. The run came to an end when we lost 1-0 at the Pirelli to Chesterfield.

All credit to Jimmy on the goal difference and the huge improvement we have seen under his stewardship. It's good to see only Shrewsbury and Wycombe (by a whisker) ahead of us now.

That 0-0 set a Club Football League Record for us of 11 games unbeaten. The win vs Oxford increased that record to 12 games unbeaten.

I think Palios will be a good sensible Chairman, I don't see what he has done wrong so far.
As for Sheridan, I think he has proven that he is a good manager at this and a higher level.
Plenty of poorer examples to choose from I would have thought.

That may be right, but Those were the stories in the papers after last week games. I'm just glad we don't have a chairman who says: Mark Palios: Tranmere Rovers fans 'entitled to boo' players Or a manager who says: John Sheridan: Plymouth boss angry over 'pathetic' defending After we lose a game, or two.... And Jimmys response to back to back losses was: BURTON Albion boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has told his players not to dwell on their back-to-back defeats. "You can dwell on it or you can move on and try to put it right and forget about it," he said. "We are going to do the latter. "It's just a case of being positive and do what we are doing which is take the game to Hartlepool. "The players are very disappointed because they're a good honest group and a very hard-working group. "But we are not going to dwell on it and are going to move on. "We have to make sure we're right for the next match and that's what we're concentrating on." JFH "puts clean sheets right at the top of his wants list when his Brewers side crosses the white line." They had developed a worrying tendency to concede heavily earlier in the season, with Wimbledon, Bury, Cambridge and Carlisle each hitting three past Albion in the space of just seven games. Now, Hasselbaink has struck upon a good recipe at the back, with everyone contributing. It is a proud defensive record and it has been established against some of the best teams in League Two, not just the strugglers. "Robbie Weir and Tom Naylor, Shane Cansdell-Sherriff and John Mousinho did a magnificent job in that central block of four, which is so important. "And then Phil Edwards, who had a magnificent game, and Damo McCrory – those are very important players for us, for keeping that balance. "That organisation was very strong. "I must say they like playing with each and being around each other. "They look comfortable playing with each other. "The organisation is very good and I'm not somebody to swap and change my back four all the time – only if I have to.
