After their first 2 months in charge I think our new management team deserve a big-up. We all know the great work Gaz, Summers and team did and we all appreciate that. This post is to highlight the great work Jimmy, David and team have done since they arrived.
10 games, 6 wins, 3 draws, 1 loss, and 5 wins at home on the trot. 21pts from possible 30 and a +10GD 15 goals scored, 8 from set-pieces, and the last 4 goals have been the first league goals for Burton by the players who scored (Maynard, Taft, Palmer, Lenihan).
6 of those games were against teams in the top 8 of the table, and the only team we lost to was Shrews who we also beat. In Jimmys time we have gone from 6th to 2nd in the table (one point off top) and have scored 15 while conceding 5, with 5 clean sheets. And we now have the most wins in L2.
He pretty much has the same team he inherited and he really hasn't changed all that much. Moose going into CB, Robbie as holding midfielder, he gave Lenihan his first start and kept him in there and Maynard playing a part in a few games. He is showing he is his own man and isn't afraid to make necessary changes, difficult as that may be. He has us playing on the floor passing football more each game and the players interviewed have said his training methods and game day approach/philosophy are excellent.
That makes me very optimistic and excited about watching exciting football. I am really looking forward to the second half of the season.
COYB!

Better start than any could hope for. Plus he's had a few key injuries to deal with during all this.

Something from Ommadawn would have been better.

You sure they weren't Tubular Bells that were ringing? Well, that was the implication. Back to the post, would be interested to hear what you last 3 posters think.

I am very happy, the only difficulty in a comparison (and I note you went out of your way to praise Gaz as well) is it is forever thus. If JFH had taken over after the first 8 games or whatever, it would have been difficult for JFH to look favourable. That said JFH impresses me greatly, not just by results but what he says and how he says it.
Not sure about Maletic ahead of Sharps bit then again not seen Maletic and happy to trust his judgement.
As for the style of football, well I don't think by any stretch it has been all table top tippy tappy. I think JFH has shown that he can be equally as pragmatic as Rowett. However, I think overall he is trying to play a bit more. But for example we played plenty of footy v QPR under Rowett...
So, in summary, very happy, but was also very happy under Rowett, and he is doing ok at his new club too.

You sure they weren't Tubular Bells that were ringing? Ommadawn is much better album than Tubular Bells. In my opinion of course.

Not being funny but TBF, this was never a post to compare anyone. "This post is to highlight the great work Jimmy, David and team have done since they arrived." My point was to get away from the Rowett era for a minute and focus only on the new management team.

Short term I believe we have got better results with JFH than we were likely to get under Rowett.
Long term who knows who the better manager is.
I have a feeling it might be Rowett but they could both prove to be great managers in their own right.
Fact is if JFH is a great manager then we will benefit short term but long term will need a new manager anyway.
Birmingham fans must be delighted with Rowett. Who himself will go onto bigger and better things the way he is going.
