3 - 0 now, goal at 75 minutes. Red card for Lee Bell at 61 mins. Not doing too good today. Reckon the pessimists will have a field day over this one. Tis obvious that we will be relegation fodder this year - eh ?

Nob of the week award goes to Lee Bell . The game was over for us as soon as he lost his temper . I was hoping he'd put all that behind him and had grown up a bit . I didn't attend but it sounded like Atkins saved us from a cricket score . "Brewers played well?" Wimbledon beat Chesterfield today , so they'll be confident for Tuesday .

I wasn't expecting anything from this game , I am more dissapointed that we had another player sent off.

The Brewers first half performance was pretty good despite the half time score. The Brewers were running the midfield, and although chances were hard to come by, most of this period was played in their territory. The referee had a decent game I thought except for the attrocious decision to award a very soft penalty. Yes the attacker was just caught on the foot, but it never even affected his running or ball control. There were more similar minor incidents throughout the match when no free kick was awarded. Frankly we were not in such control in the second period, but the double yellows in as many minutes for Lee Bell was ridiculous. He can not be allowed to play if he can't control himself. The same goes for Holness. That's 2 off in the first 2 games. Get this sorted Garry!!! Both sendings off were totally unecessary and avoidable. This was perhaps always going to be the problem with signing Lee Bell I fear. We could have lost by much more than 3, but for Atkins. You can not give a Steve Evans team that is well prepared, and physically fit the advantage of an extra man. We must start and finish with 11 players on the pitch.

We had a lack of discipline throughout the previous regime - surely it is up to the manager to instill this and change things?

The discipline of the team is worrying even at this early stage. We have conceded way to many free kicks in both of the last two games and been reduced to ten in each. This has to change quickly, Bell's red was ridiculous, flying into a tackle one minute after getting a yellow, although it did rather sum up his performance.

Pen was in the 4th minute, 2nd goal in the eleventh. Our MOTM was O'connor, sound for 19 It's my age . ( I'd dozed off when we went two down) . ::)Thanks for pointing that out . The Radio Derby commentators were singing O'Connor's praises, and felt sorry for him when the third goal was deflected in off him . I look forward to seeing him play on Tuesday . Picking up on the discipline issue, I agree this needs to be addressed quickly . We have Stanno who is over passionate too. Frankly I'm not suprised Bell got himself sent off . He's renowned for it . I remember watching a reserves game when he was at Macclesfield, ( Brewers res V Silkmen Res) he did a similar thing as today in the first half, and that was only a reserve game ! Ridiculous . I hope Jack can take the oppurtunity to establish himself as a first choice player on Tuesday and leave Bell paying the price for his stupidity on the bench next Saturday .

Just a few things...
I thought it was a nailed on pen, Diamond went ground from behind and tripped the lad. Bell's disciplinary record over the last few seasons has been very good, that daftness was out of character compared to last few years. O'Connor, excellent. Kee, too good for this league but tired and should have come off earlier. There is a risk with Kee that he may start to try to do too much and play everything rather than get into space himself and score, a bit like Rooney when playing with an average co striker. Yussef did okay took his offside 'goal' well. We created plenty in the first half but you won't beat many teams after being 2 down after 11 mins. Beautiful stadium, good crowd, but a shameful manager and assistant. Would like to wish them good luck for the season, but can't with him in charge.

Forgot to sky+ the F/L show last night so havent had the chance to carry out my sky sports super slow mo di-section of their penalty so as of the time im not convinced.you certainly cant be giving any side a 2 goal head start but to lose self discipline in the way bell did for me is inexcusable With the game now gone lets look forward to tues another tough game (as they all are) and hopefully our first 3 points

You're right... but, strangely, we conceded only one free kick to a foul in the whole of the first half. That was the penalty.

I'd like to think all their goals had an element of luck; a soft penalty, a lucky bounce after a long throw in and a deflected shot but in truth they earned their luck. They are a good strong side who should be hard to beat especially at home in their excellent stadium.
