It’s good to see the Chairman speaking out positively and even ending up on the pitch on Saturday and proving that he really does want us to stay up. Let’s hope we can finally put the horrendous own goal of shipping out every experienced forward player in January, behind us.

I've got to be honest and say that even before last nights shambles I didn't think much to the chairman's statement. Not so much a rallying call but a reminder to us of the non footballing achievements of the club like to covid vaccine program and the community trust. All very noble and something to be proud of and i'm not diminishing those things one bit but we are a football club at the end of the day and the most important thing is what goes on on the pitch. To be given that gentle reminder of the clubs achievements on the eve of such a big game and on the back of 7 awful consecutive home defeats to me was badly timed and worded and addressed to those of us who's main concern is on the pitch and not off it.
Wouldn't surprise me if we have a statement today congratulating Nigel Clough on his promotion with Mansfield and a reminder of what he achieved for us. Sometimes things are just better left unsaid.

Well said the football side of things have not been the priority, badly timed and the rallying call was a joke, just reminding everyone about the covid vaccine and other non football matters seems more important to him.

Well I made a post up similar to this but didn't post. Was exactly about the above, let's get a plug in about the community work whilst I've got your attention. And on to the attention grabbing, no such attention grabbing during our last 7 home defeats, hardly a whisper. No I think the business man in him saw a few more pound notes flying around this week, probably rinse and repeat for this weekend, maybe. Don't get me wrong I'm happy he's controlling the purse strings but blimey the plot had been lost somewhere along the way these last few seasons.

I didn’t see anything myself but according to Steve and Jack’s blog on YouTube tonight there was trouble with a group of fans who went round to the main entrance after the game chanting for Ben Robinson to come down to face them. They were removed by security staff. But people are angry with what’s happening.

People have a right to be angry - we're plummeting and nothing seems to be being done. MP's not even had the dreaded 'vote of confidence'!! EDIT: Actually, I say 'plummeting' but we have to remember we are still 'safe' at the moment. Vale & Cheltenham have tough games and it really wouldn't surprise me if we stayed up by default of being the least awful team in the bottom five. I hate the performances and Paterson's a joke but at the moment we're a League One team next year.

A long serving Burton fan and unpaid volunteer for the club, has been dismissed by the club for social media comments against Martin Patersons position at the club.

Well you really ought to add a little more detail if you’re trying to provoke debate.
As it is I see no problem with that sort of decision.

All that I can see was said is 'Martin should do the honourable thing and walk away while we still have a chance.'

Blimey Fred that is shocking… Said person would have been asked to sign a volunteer agreement which quite clearly states that any critical social media posts are against the policy. Said person did not adhere to the policy.

And in current circumstances who could blame him. No, Mike. Criticism is fine. Straightforward abuse, and there has been plenty of it, is unnecessary and wrong. People wrongly assume they can say anything they like on social media in the name of "free speech." I think "Fred" is probably aware that plenty more has been said on social media by the person than the example he quotes.

A previous post from same person ‘We spend a lot of money going up and down the country watching your dross football. I backed you in public and thanked you at the fans forum and this is how to repay us? Nah you’ve lost me mate. Jog on’. Very professional.
