Stockton will not be back. And if this clown is still in charge I will be paying over £20 to see the opposition banging in the goals in our net. Sorry Barton, that's was just me being sarcastic! Trouble with messageboards. You can’t interpret inflection!

Shocking as in, unfounded and untrue ? Or shocking as the truth is hard to face ? Shocking that he was just going through the motions. Absolutely. Really hard to watch isn’t it. All we ask is 100% effort. If we fall short then I can reconcile that. Lack of effort is inexcusable.

To be fair when we got promoted from League One back in 2015/16 we probably had one of the lowest wage budgets in the league and were facing the likes of Sheffield United, Coventry, Barnsley, Wigan, Millwall, Peterborough etc, overall not as strong as the quality of what we've faced this season but still (the likes of Southend, Bury, Oldham, Chesterfield), some of those bigger sides would've had wage bills at least double ours. Wigan spent a million on Will Grigg that season. Moncur went to Barnsley for £500k etc.. Money does help, but as we've proven many times before, it isn't everything. Just look at the Championship first season, and we should've arguably stayed up in the second as well. I bet some teams had budgets twenty or thirty times ours, Newcastle for example. I think we've had more than enough of a budget over the last few years when you look at some of the players we've brought in, to do a lot more than we have. Bad tactics have been the biggest issue, alongside player underperformance. When you have a player of Joe Powells ability and play him out of position, when you sign Cole Stockton and completely mis-use him/alongside whatever other issues he had, play Deji as a No10 etc, all players on good money. We signed Josh Walker for £200k and played him more often than not out wide, the list goes on. We've made too many silly mistakes and it's cost us big time. If we signed Phil Foden we'd probably have him sat in front of the back five under the last few managers. I hope we stay up, have a monumental clear-out in the summer, and get back to our roots of hard work and having a go at teams, like the old Burton Albion. We might not win them all, but lets at least give it a go. Interested in which players you are referring too when you say we should have done better from the players we bought in?

What a mess four seasons of continual struggle, always going to happen that relegation would eventually happen? You sell your best players when someone waves a cheque book, and replace them with someone who is not of the same standard, the recent radio derby interview did really emphasise that the chairman has a good head for business, and he is still more than capable of running this club, what it did also show that season ticket holders that were not going to renew, that he was not particularly bothered if they did or they didn’t. Surely supporters are customers of a business this being a football club,I do find it that the club as a whole can’t be bothered with finding out why people will not be renewing, they should be proactive in not ignoring the situation. As a whole this season has been a disaster and sorry the chairman and the board whoever they are must take the blame,I can’t blame the current manager it’s a job well beyond anyone’s capabilities with your hands tied behind your back. Unfortunately it reminds of Doug Ellis at Aston Villa again careful with money and good at business, but held that club back through lack of investment during his later years in charge. It’s now happened at Burton Albion lack of investment has cost the club dearly, should the chairman now sell that’s up to him,but clearly things will not change until that happens. Anyone who thinks that League Two will be easier are in for a real shock, with the current squad it would be a struggle, the club would do well to avoid relegation. I’ve watched the club in non-league and have seen them rise up the league’s,I’m in know doubt if this current situation continues I will be around to see them drop back into non-league football. That's a bit of a stretch, railway, comparing Doug Ellis holding back Aston Villa to Ben Robinson at Burton Albion... I believe that without Ben's ambition, business acumen, careful stewardship and love for Burton Albion, we'd have had continuous non-league football for the last 20 years and most likely not achieved even National level football if the previous 50 had continued.... As fergo rightly says... It ain't over till it's over... Keep fighting lads, keep supporting, fans! When the going gets tough, supporters have a significant role to play in the survival battle.... tho I suppose it's easier to moan and boo and tell everyone where it all went wrong, how it could've, would've, should've been different...preparing for the eventual 'I told you so! ' Concur. It may not be in our hands mathematically. But, realistically, it is, We win three we won't be caught (obvs I know we could be). I also know how improbable that looks. But we have to keep going.

Vale might get a point like we did. Forget Cambridge - they are clear I think.

It’s going to be our hardest great escape in history. Even a point against Barnsley would have been something to build on. MP could have put Deji in midfield and pushed Powell up or even put Adebomi up front. I thought bringing both Gilligan and Harper off left us a bit vulnerable. Should have left Harper on or put Deji in that role.
It’s going to be so hard to even try and predict future score lines for any teams with something to play for. We messed up with not getting anything against Carlisle, Exeter and Port Vale. In hindsight Ben could have maybe put Mills and Bray in charge for the remainder after the Carlisle defeat as the warning signs were there.
