It goes without saying how much we need to win this one... I'm hoping for an early goal so the fans blow some wind into the lads sails for the rest of the game...

Vale have gone 14 games without a win and their fans have said they would only keep 3 of the present squad. It tells you how vital it is that we win the game.Any other result, then i fear the worst.

Two awful teams with no tactics, pointlessly hoofing a football at each other for 90+ mins in the vain hope that something interesting might happen.
Sounds like my sort of afternoon to be honest.

This has 0-0 written all over it. We will not got for the jugular at all. Instead reverting to the tried and tested 5 at the back. If we lose this I fear we will drop. A draw does neither of us any good especially if Cheltenham win.

Just bloody well go for the win, they’re on an even bigger downer than us so to not pressure them as we should would be a mistake.

A draw does neither of us any good especially if Cheltenham win. I think it's got 0-1 to Vale written all over it. A goal halfway through the first half and then 70 minutes of time-wasting. Having said that, Carlisle had a pretty easy ride at the Pirelli. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see us smash them 6-0 (1-0 would do...) but I can't see it.

If we set up how we have for the last month then we'll struggle, probably lose and rightfully so.
If we have a go and lose you can't ask for more.
Personally I think they will probably beat us, but it really is must win for us, a draw isn't good enough either.

I want to be entertained, I want us to take the game to them, don't sit back. Please play two up front, not one on his todd with wide players moving up but not actually there when the ball up there. If we lose trying so be it, if we lose it doesn't bode well for the rest of the games though. Where's Hughes?

Vale have just sacked David Flitcroft, director of football, hope that doesn't give them the bounce they need.

A win would be great but a draw wouldnt be the end of the world. Aslong as the bottom 4 dont reduce the points gap. Need to end this bad run

Without doubt a crucial game not only for the Brewers but for me as well! I have reached a crossroads when it comes to renewing my season ticket. My decision doesn’t rest with us winning/loosing the game it’s more about how the team is set up for this game and the tactics we employ at home! If it’s going to be five at the back/loan striker/long ball/long throw/Adedeji starting/Joe in a defensive holding position and we produce another anti-football display - I don't think I will renew! We need the fans to generate some noise tomorrow but that will only happen if the team give us something to shout about! The Pirelli has been far too quiet because of the lack of goalmouth action in the oppositions box. Hoping to come away from the ground tomorrow with the win and the thought “Wow didn’t we play well - deserved win and great atmosphere”

I don't know if I can bear it today. It's bad enough losing, but I hate losing to those six-fingered smackheads.
