Be good if we won this one... But it won't be easy.. Any injuries from Saturday? Will Big Ben return even if he's fit?

Ben might be back according to Cloughie , but he is not very hopeful about John B .

Very tricky team selection for Cloughie. I'd always favour 4-4-2 and set up to win the game. How you fit our best players into that is difficult. The days of playing for a point and clean sheets are surely for when we come up against Wolves etc. in the weeks after Millwall this Saturday.

No wonder the gate was high we attracted people from Yorkshire.. Barnsley never been beaten by Burton in any competition, a big club by our standards 24-000 all seated ground, Oakwell. Squad value 16-9 million--4 current internationals 5 players cost over 1-million pounds. They also have a outstanding youth academy Moved like many clubs with a foreign coach in Jose Morias Burton are 6 points adrift of a point per game ,And while a draw away at Oakwell will be a outstanding result. With so many injuries knocks and bruises, the second half could be a long one. with Burton--Birmingham-Hull coming up Barnsley hope to steer clear of relegation, and Beating the brewers would be a good start. A cliff hanger

I doubt we will see Ben tom or John for some time. All prob have calf tears of varying degrees. If it were just strains we would have had Ben back Saturday. If Ben is out tomoro its prob something more long term. Toms definetely is as NC has said, we have to wait on info on Brayford.

Another very good pre match interview from Nigel ahead of this one.
He's looking and sounding incredibly relaxed, as positive as he can be under the circumstances and as someone who knew him well I can promise you all I sense a real belief from him that we can get out of this.
All we need is that first win.
Space im my car for three and if you'd like to come but can't afford the ticket, don't be shy, let me know and I'd be happy to buy a couple of extra tickets.
We need as many passionate brewers as possible making the trip. I can pick up from the Pirelli and drop you off anywhere you need to be.
Space for three, you don't even need to put up with me by sitting next to me for the game 😜

Big game tomorrow. Note quite a must win but definitely a must not lose.
Personally I would like to see Damo get a start tomorrow at left back as he's our only real genuine left back at the club and was unlucky to lose his place at the start of last season due to the change in formation. If he can get back up to speed quickly it would be a real bonus for the rest of the season.
Let's hope Barnsley get the same new manager bounce that Forest have had so far and as Andy Garner once famously said "we should be beating teams like.......". No, forget it, I'm not going to say it!

I felt that on Saturday Annable. We seem to be fiddling a lot with the back 4. I know to an extent that is injuries. There are 2 full backs at the club Brayf and Damo. Isn't Damo the holder of our most league appearances still?

But if Damo is not fit, he is not fit. Can't magic away that he has not played since whenever and had a bad knee injury. It is like saying that Boyce should have been playing in September because he was a recognised centre forward.

Dont think we have any choice tbh. Bucko will come back in with naylor and kyle as a 3

He's not leaving Damo out by choice.
In the interview he clearly says he wishes Damo was two weeks further on in his training.
He want's to be able to play him but there's no point putting a half fit Damo out there when we've got Lloyd and even young Joe bombing up and down the left.
I think we'll go with a three at the back and try to control the midfield. I'd prefer it if any of Turner, Brayford or Tom F comes back in a head of Jake, not because I don't think Jake can cope but I think he's become the scapegoat amongst the critics, keep him away from that.
They're a bit of a bogey team for us so I definitely don't want to tempt fate but looking at their last 8 home games, they're possibly the only team in the league who have scored less than us at home. In their last 8 home games they've scored 1,1,0,1,0,0,0 and 0. Not exactly the kind of run that should have quaking in our boots going there. NC says it every time but here more than ever the first goal will be huge.

Hold back lads I think my point has been misinterpreted! I wasn't having a go thinking you were having a go for me having a go at you for not having a go that Damo wasn't playing :-) I know you well enough to know you weren't having a pop, just that you want a left back in a left back spot, which is 100% understandable. I only posted what I did in case there were a few who hadn't heard what NC said about Damo, he nearly brought him on Saturday but thought the half hour was too much.

I have not seen a prediction anywhere, that don't give Barnsley any thing but a home win Not counting this forum of coarse. Hope you get a car full broomo. So pleased you can enjoy your football, though, we are living a dream. Hope all goes well at Oakwell, will be thinking of all our supporters in Yorkshire.

No takers Trev, it'll just be me on my jack jones again. The spare seats remain spare. If I was sensitive I'd get a bit upset about it, not for the first time this season I'm offering free transport and tickets and can't get anyone to come. Not for the first time this season I've bought someone else a ticket and they STILL don't /won't show up despite telling me how delighted they were at my generosity. To pay for tickets and to see them go to waste is heart breaking. 6 times this season I've wasted at least one and sometimes two tickets that I've bought for complete strangers who couldn't afford to go only to be let down. Maybe it's cos I'm outspoken, loud, grumpy or whatever but I'm really struggling to stay in love with our own fans. They're changing. I enjoy my own company though, so it'll be ELO on the stereo and me going mental at Horace Wimp and Mr Blue Skies, exactly the way it used to be all those years ago and exactly how it should be. If the results starts with Barnsley 0 then I'll be going even more mental on the way back to Telephone Lines :-)
