Great minds think alike
First 30 minutes I think crucial
Either Colchester start believing in themselves to do a job or we get them doubting themselves again
They will at least start more fired up under new management

A bit hard to know what to expect this afternoon. To be honest not too worried about Colchester, if we get our own game right we will be ok and I trust Jimmy will have them in the right frame of mind.

Well, that answers the question about what attitude Colchester would have coming into this game. Score is 0-1, Colchester goal at 4 mins into the game.
C O Y B - you can do this today. Good Luck Lads, it is a home game.

Was about to complain that both Coventry and Gillingham were winning
But they are both drawing now
Hope it stays like that
This won't have helped the Chesterfield interim management team get a job will it!

Well we won 5-1
Coventry and Gillingham drew
So we are one point behind top and level with second but have a game in hand on both!
Now the stats on BBC Football Website can't be correct!
It says we only had 48% possession
It says we only had 6 shots
It says 5 of those 6 shots were on target
And it says Thiele scored???
Surely they've got it all wrong?

We've had games with 25 shots this season and not scored any!

Cold, wet but very happy this evening. Absolutely tremendous result. I was there on a freebie today as a guest of my employers and I was quite near the dug outs. I did get the impression Jimmy was frustrated during the game so not a surprise to hear he wasn't happy afterwards but I was amazed at how little his opposite number instructed or supported his players. They were polar opposites because Jimmy is always on the go.
As I said a tremendous result and we can now go top with a victory on Tuesday night but we'll need to be a bit sharper and tidier against a better team in Millwall as Colchester showed flashes of life going forward but were conference standard at the back. I really fear for them this season. Full credit to the Colchester supporters who made trip on such a dreadful day.

Red stuff all over the pitch! Get in!
Jimmy has said all along that the goals will come. Are we starting to believe yet?
