Well, the boys will be back in the saddle on Sat., weather permitting! Will the two weeks rest be a factor? Yes. On the plus side a rest is good now and then and they will have had time to forget Peterborough. Any little injuries (Beavs, Shane, Phil, Darius) should have healed or at least improved, hopefully Phil is fully fit. Naylors one game suspension has been served so he's back in the mix. And this will be Robbies third game served, so if Butcher gets booked/suspended we're covered in the holding role against Wigan. On the negative side we have lost two positions in the table so there is a bit of mind games going on there. And for some players sometimes a rest isn't necessarily the best thing. Bury news, Paddy Kenny today cancelled his loan after 13 days due to injury and Leicester striker Joe Dodoo has joined them on a month loan. In their last game, a 3-1 loss to the Gills they only had 4 on the subs bench including a keeper and Eagles didn't dress. So I think all in all we are sitting Ok for this one. 0-1 to the Brewers.

Staying up in Hawkshaw just north of Bury, "er indoors birthday" so bit of a treat ! Northern soul night in Ramsbottom after too ! Not sure what to expect at Gigg lane to be honest, hopefully better than last seasons game. Will the speculation affect the players, what formation we will play, line up etc all variable factors for me. I think Joachim declaring he was ready to go in English footballer was an interesting statement and would love to see him play and score ! Going for a 1-0 to the Albion same as Peacock and our 1st ever victory on Bury turf.

Finallllyyyyyyy it feels like ages! I am hoping we have kept match fitness up, sometimes a rest can be damaging!
Joe Dodoo is a very good striker for League 1 - I would be worried if he was playing.
His record this season: Bury - Hattrick West Ham - Goal
I'd be happy if we had him for a month

With Slade being allowed to go out on loan this translates to me that Darius is fit!

Bit chilly up here tomorrow so wrap up if you're travelling. Sprinkling of snow in hills but nothing to trouble the scorers. #COYB

Sprinkling of snow in hills but nothing to trouble the scorers. #COYB By eck man, its freezing up here, bit of a dusting of snow and frost but no indication the game will be off, have been reading the local paper, a lad named Bachman, an Austrian u21 international looks likely to be in goal for Bury, Danny Mayor is out injured. Talking to Bury fans last night the were predicting a 2-2 draw, saying the were good going forward but not too clever at the back. If you're coming to Gigg Lane I suggest you wrap up warm !

Fingers crossed for a good game! Bury have a poor home record so hopefully we capitalise on that The dodo worries me as mentioned before. He's on the cusp of playing PL football hence only a 1 month loan. I think we just need to keep calm if we concede first so we don't let in a flurry of goals

Brr.... I planned to go and see Stapenhill FC today, still going if it's on with one eye on Gigg lane action.

How did we play terraceman? Stats suggest we had a go - usual story final third? How did Reilly do? Enough questions, enjoy tonight!

A shame to lose to an own goal.
Bury are a good team, we didn't get heavily beaten and it sounds like we had some very good chances. Shot cleared off the line and NEK missing from 6 yards...
Bring on Wigan.
