The stats show that the lads gave it a go but we still need to somehow sort out the goal shortage. At least Bury couldn't beat us we had to beat ourselves . Well done to the Albion die hards who made the trip. COYB.

Definitely need a striker who can regularly pop a chance away.
It's criminal that we produce so many chances without scoring, however we are still in a great position but I think a decent striker would make us a very good side?
Before I get shot down...I know they're not cheap and I know we're doing really well so far this season, but I'm ambitious!

Agree. Dodoo would have been good if he's available!

How did we play terraceman? Stats suggest we had a go - usual story final third? How did Reilly do? Enough questions, enjoy tonight! We played ok but woefully short in the final third again. Reilly didn't do himself any harm. Lost to fluke goal really but not a great game overall. Hoping for a better evening !

Pressure from Bury and they looked likely to score and did. Even more pressure in the 2nd half from us but we didn't look likely to score. Herein lies a problem.

Bit chilly up here tomorrow so wrap up if you're travelling. Sprinkling of snow in hills but nothing to trouble the scorers. #COYB By eck man, its freezing up here, bit of a dusting of snow and frost but no indication the game will be off, have been reading the local paper, a lad named Bachman, an Austrian u21 international looks likely to be in goal for Bury, Danny Mayor is out injured. Talking to Bury fans last night the were predicting a 2-2 draw, saying the were good going forward but not too clever at the back. If you're coming to Gigg Lane I suggest you wrap up warm ! Nice to see you up there tm, and it was 'kin cold! Overall I think it was an even match up. Dodoo was the best player on the pitch for me but Hussey got their MOTM. It was a total fluke goal as the highlights show. Phil and Jono both made superb saves for us. Beavon should have scored that one, and the highlights don't show Nassers excellent chance (1/3 of an open goal) that he skied over and into the roof above our heads (get yer head down). Beavon got clattered on his scoring chance and on a couple other occasions and was subbed off. I didn't see what happened to Sherriff but I don't think it was a contact injury, the on-field treatment looked like a possible hip or back problem? Butcher came on for him and Jimmy changed to a 3-2-3-2 formation for the final 15 (10+5) minutes. I don't think any of our players were poor. The AR missed or didn't flag for an attempted elbow by Hussey directed at Akins head. But hey, we're in 5th place with a game in hand. On to Wigan! COYB!

According to Jimmy , it looks like a groin problem for Shane , and Jimmy was livid with the challenge on Beav by their goalie in the first half .

Thought the TV coverage was terrible. Mentioned in the voiceover that we had chances but only showed the goal and Bury efforts. Very poor in my opinion.

Yes that CH5 coverage is pants, not once I think did they show Burton have even a go at goal.
