I don't mean to be an arse but this message board seriously needs a moderator or someone with admin privileges to sort this out. I absolutely appreciate what terraceman posted earlier today in order to try and diffuse things but in all honesty that kind of thing shouldn't be left to someone who only signed up to talk about his club.
It's clearly keeping people away and I fear this is going to go the same way as CTMD.

Yawn . Disclaimer - Don't read this...
Ok, no worries. Typing without negative emotions, I hope I can explain 'my' feelings on these comments now.
"He and Sharps have to take whatever is offered and move on in order to free up some monies." - that is a sharp statement, and I can see why it p..ed people off. I did think though that they were considering (based on Bells comment that I also posted and wasn't included in anyone's response) just taking a wage til their contracts ended. It doesn't mean they were, but it seemed like it at the time. Even if they did, some think that's ok, Personally I don't and wouldn't, and my reasons are in the post I made about respecting employees and employers. And we know that sometimes players cannot come in until some monies are freed up so ....
"I think it is a bit disrespectful towards BAFC and the manager to keep hanging on hoping something big is going to happen." - I think that is a fair opinion to have, but people focused on a word 'big'. At the time there rumours of offers and moves but they never materialised - And we know that sometimes players cannot come in until some monies are freed up so ....
"yes they do, not part of the team so move on. Don't embarrass themselves any further. - I think that is a fair opinion, it may not be yours, but people have different opinions and people read things differently. (See note below) - if it were me and I was captain of a team and the boss said you are not part of my future plans I would move on. In context, to end my career playing one game a month for a reserve side would be an embarrassment to me.
Now some may think I'm backtracking but I'm not, that is what I think. But to put everything down on a post would take far too much time, so we write short opinions. I know what people think of the things I wrote and I'll probably get slated again, but maybe someone will get the point even without agreeing with it.
Here's the note. A uni prof once said while teaching an English course. "It is a major fault in communication that "what is said is rarely what is heard". People's opinion has to be thought of in context.

As terraceman has already said , some of your posts on this board, IE the breaking news items, are interesting and informative, and I thank you for sharing those with us and for doing the research involved. However the endless drivvle and the attempts at justifying the drivvle, coupled with the embarassing links to your own previous posts are frankly tedious . Personally I skip over the majority of your posts for that reason. I'm sure you don't give a dam what other users of this forum think and am also sure the drivvle will continue. But it needed to be said. Well done Terraceman. Porx

Confirmed that Lee Bell is off to Macclesfield then - like Spence I hope it's successful for all and that he helps get them back into the League. I think Lee (and Sharps for that matter) should be congratulated on the way they've handled themselves over the last few weeks and for their contributions to the Club's position during their time with us. Thanks to both.

Regarding the last one: I don't think it's the posts or users that stops people joining this forum, I think it's more because it's just an old-fashioned website. For example, When Jimmy arrived the Burton Albion fans FB page membership started growing immediately. It had around 1600 members and it has 1815 members now, a 13% increase. At the same time This forum had around 360 members and now has 386, a 7% increase. I think the difference in total numbers and the growth percentages are more reflective of the different technologies/website appeal than anything else. There is a lot of stuff on FB that is much worse than what I see on here. But that may change shortly. However, I do think this forum could use some work, bug fixes, enhancements etc.

As someone posted in another thread. There is a long delay when you try to join to being accepted. I think that certainly doesn't help membership grow
