If it's really happening All the best to Lee Bell, anything has to be better than drawing a pay cheque playing for a reserve team. I'd say not drawing a pay cheque at all is a worse option. Well, of course, goes without needing to be said, or liked.

A very appropriate comment in view of what else has been said... In particular the 'peacock' view that they (Bell and Sharps): Should have to take whatever they are offered; Are being disrespectful to BAFC and the manager; That they are embarrassing themselves and risk doing that further. I am sure that Bell will be grateful for Peacock's best wishes.

I think you nailed you earlier though, your ale is dibilatating you! but that's ok. Nite, nite.

It's looking like Belly is off then - but do we know where yet? Just thinking today that a move back to the Silkmen might be a good one for him and them - if they win their game in hand - they'll be only 5 points behind long-time leaders Barnet.....
Thought I'd check out the Macclesfield Fans website and sure enough found a thread headed Lee Bell.....followed by the question "Is he coming back?"
No one posting on the thread could answer the question - and their fans seemed to have different opinions at the prospect of him returning to Moss Rose...
Don't think they're overflowing with cash up there are they? - must be running the proverbial "tight ship" - but we shall soon see if he ends up in Cheshire or somewhere else.....

Can't find any more information but fingers crossed he found the right deal! I do hope so. If it is Macclesfield like everard suggested then that would be a great signing for them in my opinion. Would love to see Belly help them get promoted and have another crack at league two.

Anyway, that's 4 signed, and 3 moving on so far. If, as Jimmy has said (and I believe he is a man of his word) he doesn't want to carry too many players I wonder how many more (and who) will go. And if they will go before 11pm Tuesday?

" I think it is a bit disrespectful towards BAFC and the manager to keep hanging on hoping something big is going to happen." "yes they do, not part of the team so move on. Don't embarrass themselves any further." All direct quotes from the York thread.

Funky, why do you make a habit of answering questions asked of other users? It brings to mind that Eurythymics song, something about obsession?

Peacock, you post some good articles, facts, figures etc on here and I don't think anyone would argue regarding your passion for the Brewers. However it gets tedious when you post on every single thread and if people don't agree, challenge you, you make a mistake, or are wrong or whatever else you have to analyse it in minute detail or split hairs until you think you are vindicated. We had a minor incident some time ago which was sorted amicably but I notice(don't ask me to quote them because you obviously know what I mean) that several on here have issues with various details you post on the forum. Personally I think you need to relax and realise you can't be right all the time and sometimes state something that could be viewed as disrespectful. Please don't view this as a personal attack, its more of a word of wisdom to help you and everyone else on the forum get along better whether we agree or disagree with each others viewpoints.

That is a sound statement terrace man and I agree with almost everything. Thank you for taking the time to talk sense. (Don't misinterpret that ) I get too pedantic at times, but so do other members. I say things that people interpret in a way that wasn't intended, and so do others. People should be allowed to have opinions, and back them up with facts. The facts may sometimes not be 100%, they may have been taken from a poor website etc, I think you get my point. However, I think I get more stick and insults than anyone else on here, by a looooonnnng shot. Should I take it all silently, I don't think so. In all seriousness, I want to ask 'you', no one else, two questions and would appreciate your honest answers. The first can be a simple yes or no answer. The second doesn't allow for a yes or no answer, but 'it's just a bit of banter" isn't what I'm looking for. Please don't focus on one or two words that I use, just generalise the questions if you would. 1. Do you agree that your last comment to me also applies to at least several other members on here? 2. How would you feel if the insults I get we're directed at you, and if members commented as they do to me about your chosen hobbies, nationality, the fact you have a Jamacian partner etc.. Personal things like that being brought into the discussion in an unnecessary manner or intent if you will?

1. no 2. People know I am a Christian and make disparaging remarks. That's up to them. Personally I ignore everything except for being called a "I've just used a rather silly word & been auto-edited". If I get something wrong I admit it or state I'm not sure.
That's a sensible and decent reply peacock, in all honesty I think you get the most stick because you post more than everyone else ! Whether we all agree is unlikely as we all see things differently, but we all support BAFC and want our club to do well despite differing opinions.

He gets challenged because he does not go to games, nothing to do with any other fairy stories in his head. If he is a Burton Albion fan then he shows very little dignity or respect to players or other fans, self promotion I am right your all wrong attitude, says it all really.

I will have to politely disagree with you on the first one. Based on the post after yours for one reason, if repeatedly posting something like that is not tedious? Maybe you could enlighten cp on my attendance record.

Disclaimer - Don't read this... Ok, no worries. Typing without negative emotions, I hope I can explain 'my' feelings on these comments now. "He and Sharps have to take whatever is offered and move on in order to free up some monies." - that is a sharp statement, and I can see why it p..ed people off. I did think though that they were considering (based on Bells comment that I also posted and wasn't included in anyone's response) just taking a wage til their contracts ended. It doesn't mean they were, but it seemed like it at the time. Even if they did, some think that's ok, Personally I don't and wouldn't, and my reasons are in the post I made about respecting employees and employers. And we know that sometimes players cannot come in until some monies are freed up so .... " I think it is a bit disrespectful towards BAFC and the manager to keep hanging on hoping something big is going to happen." - I think that is a fair opinion to have, but people focused on a word 'big'. At the time there rumours of offers and moves but they never materialised - And we know that sometimes players cannot come in until some monies are freed up so .... "yes they do, not part of the team so move on. Don't embarrass themselves any further.- I think that is a fair opinion, it may not be yours, but people have different opinions and people read things differently. (See note below) - if it were me and I was captain of a team and the boss said you are not part of my future plans I would move on. In context, to end my career playing one game a month for a reserve side would be an embarrassment to me. Now some may think I'm backtracking but I'm not, that is what I think. But to put everything down on a post would take far too much time, so we write short opinions. I know what people think of the things I wrote and I'll probably get slated again, but maybe someone will get the point even without agreeing with it. Here's the note. A uni prof once said while teaching an English course. "It is a major fault in communication that "what is said is rarely what is heard". People's opinion has to be thought of in context.
