Not a good start. York getting the better of our defence too easily. Hope we settle.

41 mins-Substitution, Burton Albion. Lucas Akins replaces Kelvin Maynard because of an injury. Taft is booked 2mins after the sub for fouling the player who injured Maynard. Halftime ends 0-0, still in 2nd place. McGurk on for Palmer to start the 2nd half

1-0 down, Sinclair 69mins. Sounds like we not playing well. Yeah, that's what the FB'ers are saying too. And that the pitch is crap...but both teams are playing on it. 77mins-knowledge for Bevs, no more subs.

Other results went ok.
Good to see Newport lose.
4 points clear of automatic and 10 points clear of playoffs.
Third place. Point off top.

Well I wasn't at the match but the starting 11 kept a clean sheet so I'll credit them for that. After the 1st 2 subs we conceded a goal but one of those 2 equalised so credit to them as well. To be successful you have have a bit of good fortune and another point on the road can only be a positive. COYB!

A very poor day at the office today, particularly in the first half. I was sorry to see Maynard injured by yet another unpunished York foul but in all honesty, he wasn't really in the game.
Not sure what it is with Kelvin but it looks as though he's the type of player who prefers the ball at his feet and we tended to get involved in a bit of in the air hoof ball, falling to York's poor standards?
The introduction of Akins gave us a lot more life up front, almost immediately and to be fair we went into the break in fairly positive mood.
The second half saw us almost permanently on the attack but a combination of poor refereeing, lousy pitch conditions and perhaps a bit of a lack of belief saw most of our attacks break down on the edge of the area?
The York goal was a scrappy affair and seemed to sit on the line for an age before Sinclair bundled it in, very much against the run of play.
Full credit to Adam McGurk, who I will admit to being one of his biggest critics. When he came on for the injured Matty Palmer, the general concensus on the away terrace was far from positive but how wrong we were?
McGurk was undoubtedly the difference on the day, showing strong running, great attitude and some excellent pieces of skill, which caused York's ageing defenders a lot of problems.
His passes were to feet and his running into space and quick feet led to several half chances, before his quick thinking combination play led to an opportunity which he put away with great aplomb to send us all home in reasonably positive mood.
Well done Adam...that's what we need from you every week please.
Moving on, I doubt we'll play that badly again but we do still need a bit more up front, to take the pressure off the defence, so Jimmy had better get moving on shifting out his no longer required players and finding some new blood to take us on to finish this campaign at least in the top three.
Anything less would really have to be judged a failure and having seen all the other top teams, we should definitely be looking to win the division?

How you can twist my comment into a negative is unbelievaeble really.
