Indeed, great news. Must admit that I was worried that we had seen the last of him when he didn't feature on Saturday. The loan has been extended to 3 January as well.

Definitely strengthens the squad and put in a cracking display at Wycombe. Hope he starts at Shrewsbury?

This gives us plenty of options in midfield and at the back now.
We must have a couple of players we could loan out as well to maybe create some budget for another striker

I have also said that an outgoing loan or two could be a good thing to keep players in game shape and to get their confidence back. I am not sure that bringing a new striker in just yet is a priority, with Lenihan and Morris here on loan, McCrory showing that he can do a job in midfield when asked and Callum and Jimmy close to a return I would like to see Lucas given a game up front when fully fit.
As far as the game squad goes there hasn't been many changes yet under Jimmy. The last 12 games before he came in we were -18GD, the two games since he has been here we are +3 and the only real change has been playing Moose at center back for those two games and Lenihan at CM at Wycombe. All of the other players he used were in the game squad under Gaz...

I wonder if Sat' game at Cheltenham will be Lennys last game for us? We can't extend his youth loan, but could we go for an end of season deal? Anyone heard anything? 22 mins · Like

Jimmy announced he wanted to keep Lenihan but I havn't heard if the loan has been extended or whatever else we can do. Lenihan wants to stay and I certainly hope he does.

His current loan was extended until February 7th when it was done at the start of January. The club have the option of extending the youth loan until his 21sy birthday which isn't until March, after which it could be turned into a standard emergency loan with a maximum length of 93 days which if activated in March would easily take in the remainder of the season, play-offs or not.

Thanks, I'm just wondering what an emergency would require. Do we need to be in some sort of emergency situation where we don't have enough midfielders of something?

Post match interview Jimmy was asked he Lenny would be extended, he chuckled and said "without a doubt, that will be extended" But the rules say "The minimum period of a Youth Loan shall be 28 days, thereafter a break clause may be included. Youth Loans cannot extend beyond the date of the Player’s 21st birthday". I don't know what a break clause is but something will have to be done before Tuesdays game. We could extend the youth loan for 28 days (March 9th) or if a break clause allows until March 16th. It would be good to see him locked down now for the rest of the season though whenever we're able too.

I have explained the 28 day bit before, but you obviously choose not to remember that one.....It only applies to the initial 28 days of the loan being the minimum length. After that it can be extended for any period, up to the player's 21st birthday......no break clause required.
