This is the game of games. The whole future of Burton Albion could or may rest on this game. I said I wasn't looking forward to this game. You know what I can feel something in my waters or do I want a wee? Come on the Brewers.

Feeling excited for this now. Hope we go for it but a point is minimum now

It's a cunning way of generating interest, lose 7 home games on the trot, win away to set up a win or bust next home match.😄 Ben's actually commented on social media now about how excited fans should be, just an observation 😄

Sorry to out the dampener on all this but Saturday's result has nothing to do with Tuesday night.
We played well against Cheletenham away 0-0 We played well against Wigan away 1-1 We played well against Stevenage away - well, we won anyway!! (Let's ignore the home games in between.)
I'll be going along on Tuesday with my (by now) normal dread. Of course, I'm hoping we can get three points. If Port Vale can contrive to lose, even better - that'd be us virtually safe. I'll be behind the boys, having a good sing, applauding when they give me the opportunity. Pleeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaase Paterson, do the right thing.
COYB.

who's we got available for selection then?
Brayford, Sweeney and Bennett must be big injury doubts
should we park the bus and play for a point / hope we get a break? or give Hugill some support up front with another body?

We are at home. We should try to win but you know we will play for a 0-0.

I didn't go to Stevenage or watch it by other means - so I'm interested (if any who did see the game would care to comment) in how Powell and Helm performed in their more advanced roles - if indeed they did line up supporting Bennett upfront. Many have been calling for Powell particularly to play further forward... They're both prone to wreckless challenges and losing the ball in the wrong areas but also both capable of winning it and doing something positive with it. They can also strike the ball well enough and are our leading scorers with 5 each (alongside the departed Lubala) I thought it was worth a try to shove up there (if they were) see if they can get us some goals! Did it work? Are they likely to start in forward roles v Cheltenham?

Seen a reply to Cheltenham's most recent post on X saying that they have only sold 75 (yes 75) tickets. Obviously could be completely false (it wasn't the club account or any kind of affiliated account saying it) but tells a lot about their fans belief for their final four games if it is true. Also seen on X that the big surfer flag (image below) will be out tomorrow as well in the West Stand as well as balloons etc. pbs.twimg.com/media/GLN7mOWXYAAr6qq?format=jpg&name=smallThe fans are definitely giving it a go, hopefully the players will give us a vintage performance too, UTB

They may have been slightly more forward but we were so deep and defensive that most of the time hugill and bennett didnt stand much chance. Powell was lucky not to get booked very early on.

There has been a rallying cry from the Chairman and the supporters to get behind the team , wear the colours, be loud and proud. Tonight apparently the surfer flag will be used.... COYB 💛🖤💛⚽

We have got to try and play some positive football today. Cheltenham will be feeling low and are there for the taking.
