Have to agree Fergo. Wasn’t overly impressed with the Peninsula Stadium. For a club that clearly has ambitions above their current standing I was very underwhelmed with what they have done there. Shipping containers for tea bars and toilets (which were locked up way too soon after the final whistle I should add!) and only building a 4,000 capacity smacked of doing things ‘on the cheap’ which, given their owners surprised me. It’s another one ticked off my list but it won’t live long in the memory. Yes, given the combined wealth of the owners, that was a disgrace. A shipping container for refreshments staffed by only 2 people resulting in a gigantic queue. A toilet that was as big as a garden shed with a broken toilet and a sink with a broken tap.
Or maybe that is what you get when you have former footballers at the helm. Maybe those are the facilities that former footballers think football fans deserve.

Oldham away if we can get past Salford in the replay which gives us a great chance of reaching the third round and make a bit of money to put towards January hopefully. Will be an added incentive for Salford in the replay. Oldham for them sort of a Derby and the Scholes connection. For us another "its grim up North" trip!

There was another gents toilet around the corner from the most obvious one, no queue, all working.

Further to an earlier comment about the absence of a chip shop I can report that I found one 8-10 minutes walk away. Chips and Chinese curry sauce was bought and extremely nice it was too.

It was tricky to find, just the other side of the ladies. That's a strange place to have a chip shop.
