Away to Salford.
Money draw. BBC love them...
I hope we beat them. I don't like them

A new ground to scratch. I felt a bit uneasy when I suddenly thought of my hard earned cash going to the Class of 92.

Not sure the BBC love them quite as much now they're a Sky project but I hope you're right and I hope we beat them. It is a bit of a banana skin though, so we'll have to be proper on our toes. Would be lovely to have a bit of an FA Cup run to sit alongside our League Cup exploits.

Sky are equally as bad imo, Salford are always on the BBC radio or TV whenever they get chance (in a cup game mainly). Anyway, we'll be on TV so hopefully we win, BUT it will be about as hard as its going to get for an early stage FA Cup game.

Saturday 3pm kick off, with a ground walking distance from my home... just about!
When do tickets go on sale? Can't see anything on the BAFC site.

Yes, I am off to this one too as I need the ground. I am not a fan of the FA Cup. It was a great competition when I was a kid but it isn't now. It is of course wonderful for small / poor clubs to generate some money and I dare say we might not be where we are had it not been for the FA Cup.
I think that the worst aspect of the FA Cup is the BBC, ex professionals of a certain age and pundits being misty eyed and talking about the 'magic of the cup' when everyone else on the planet sees it for what it is in 2019.
That said, I do like to see Balloon Rovers (of the 18th tier) v Cheltenham in the first round with their tiny 500 capacity ground and the tinfoil FA Cups on parade and that human interest continues to round 3 for me. Round 4 and beyond is a bit 'Whatever' for me.

I'm really looking forward to this one, personally I hate everything Man Utd and it would be great to derail the Man U Ex Pat Rollercoaster.

Salford City squad cost not much difference to Burton Albions , games now played at the Peninsula Stadium capacity 5-108, manager Graham Alexander, and Adam Rooney is their top scorer, the owners are Peter Lim,and of coarse the class of 92 Scholes=Giggs=P-Neville=Butt=G Neville=Beckham, on July 1st-2017,all players became full time professionals.Their new ground was opened by no other than Sir Alex Ferguson. In May 2019 the club joined the football league 2, Having won the playoff final they now sit 11th in league 2, With a average attendance of 3-068,i believe there is £36-000 pound prize money for the winner. Clough knows we have to compete, and Salford are the underdogs,Mind boggling Burton Albion the big scalp.a battle this one, they are very dangerous at set pieces, and i think Nartey will be missing,We need the money, sorry i think we will be seeing them back at the Pirelli, Hey what a home game for us.

Hoping for a replay. I'm missing football at the Pirelli and if the prices we charge are in line with Salford's at a tenner or fiver who can complain.

I trust the game will be safe from a waterlogged pitch postponement. Manchester is wet when there is a drought across the rest of the UK and the rainfall has been heavy not that far away in the last few days. It also rains from 11am onwards in Salford tomorrow. The away end is covered (I have just checked).

63 mins gone still 0.0. Sounds dour. We have still not had a shot on target - 7 attempts. I assume they don't count the goal that was disallowed
