I have to agree that Sarkic and Foster, had some difficulty in getting their close control game going, which cost us possession too many times. These though are fine margins, and I know they will both play better next time. Foster in particular usually turns in an 8 rated performance, and Sarcik is still finding his feet. I can't argue with Nigel that we defended well, but I was surprised to see Rovers in the second half doing to us what I was expecting us to do to them regarding attacking pressure. However, it all ended well for us thanks to what seemed an impossible scoring position goal from Lucas, who else would have done that? I think you mean Fraser.

Magnificent was a word used by Clough, started from the back with o"Ohara, all the way to the forwards . Quinn= Buxton=Brayford=O"Toole=Akins=experience made the difference,Points lost against Ipswich and Rotherham were picked up today,I was hoping we could hang onto a draw, During the tension of the game ,i did not reflect that we had lost=Buxton=Boyce=Sarkic, and Daniel and Broadhead were missing that was 5 out of a small squad.our young players were brilliant, and nice to see Sbarra have a impact, Templeton we know can be a match winner. When fit . Must say it feels good not to concede and then steal the points. Anyone disappointed with the attendance does not live in our world, like the away fans say the atmosphere is surreal. It will be better next home game Coventry will take their full allocation and more. Nice to see Nartley just slots in I was disappointed with the attendance and I think I live in the real world. It is disappointing that the people of Burton do not throng at the new Eton Park. We can but encourage. I really feel it needs a complete rethink Ian and some greater marketing expertise than currently.

Apparently yesterday was Family Day at the Pirelli .First I knew about this was reading it in the match day programme ,surely things like this should be promoted through the media (radio and newspapers etc) prior to the match . It should be done when schools are back when kids can hopefully get their parents to bring them along . Where were the activities btw? Never saw anything happening before the match around the stadium , apart from the usual bucket collection from another charity .

We managed to bring 2 extras with us yesterday, one a R**s fan the other isn't football mad at all but he's got a BAFC scarf. They are keen on coming to the Coventry game We keep trying to swell the numbers, we are having to ship them over from Derby.😁

Yesterday certainly wasn’t one for the purists it has to be said.my mind went back to last season. I lost count of how many times last season when Nigel referred back to the Southend, Gillingham and Charlton home games where we were the better side and lost it at the death. Yesterday was one of those where Iast season we would have probably lost but this time we got the break. Ryan’s challenge didn’t look a great one. Some refs would have given red but I don’t think it helped that it was right in front of the Rovers fans in the seats who were baying for red. One or two around me thought he was a bit lucky. The one on Jake I thought was a full blooded 50-50 that Jake just came off worst from. I said the same as you that it must be bad if he has stayed down. Perhaps it was a little bit of a naughty one but hard to tell. I think the decision to play JJOT at centre back has been an inspired one. Couple of times, particularly late on, when he made crucial blocks or interventions that saved an almost certain goal. Not sure he will always get the credit h deserves back there but already looks a very astute signing. For me, I think Kieran is a fantastic shot stopper but he does worry me at times. There was one he parried straight back out to a Rovers man who luckily wasn’t quick enough to adjust and put the rebound in. I would also like to see him dominate his box a bit more at corners and free kicks. A couple of games so far he has come to punch and struggled a little. Still a young keeper and if he can develop over the season in the same way Brad did he will be an excellent keeper for us. Definitely noticed a moment of hesitation from O’Hara both yesterday and vs Rotherham when it was obvious watching he should go forward to the ball to clear it — not as decisive as I’d like just yet. Good shot stopping though. Great result yesterday; we were very average 2nd half until the last 10 mins but you’ve got to love an outcome like that. Strength in depth feels it’s being pressured earlier in the season than we’d like! Daniel, Broadhead, Bucko, Boyce, Fox etc., hopefully a clean bill of health (Fox aside) before too long. COYB. Also at least we’re playing Bolton soon, better than a Dec/May type combination, will take time for them to stabilise still.

I'd defend O'Hara in that most keepers, at any level, will have a moment or two of hesitation at some stage (as will most players... it's more obvious when you're the keeper). Also, I think lots of things can look obvious to us from the stands or terraces that are not necessarily obvious if you're out there. What I see from the popside (without replays) often looks different from a different angle on the highlights, when I can look at it again and again. Lucas's angle for the goal looked near impossible from the Popside... less so on TV, even though he took it beautifully.

I to will defend O"Hara, how refreshing to have a goalkeeper who has a impact on keeping a clean sheet ,and gives confidence to our defenders. And is called up to a full international team. Sorry dont see Burton has a footballing hub loyalty's are fragmented,It is testament to what two men can achieve in a club with so little, and a joy to be part of what has been achieved.Coventry our next home game took only 400 less fans to Oxford than we could muster for a important home game. Bristol Rovers on their fans forum a 14 page spread to our 3. A few people coming from other clubs in the area is what we get. It would be wonderful to see what Ben and Nigel could achieve on 9000 gates, With Derby under a board that undermined him he gave them a playoff final team, from a relegation squad with a cost of approx 4 million. 6 years later approx 100 million spent to reach playoff final and still lose. Ben and Nigel spending 4 million on Burton, Miracles are worked at this club on peanuts,Not being despondent about the lack of interest,i feel privileged to be part of it. so with the away fans next home gate should be over 4000, Be generous with game tickets let them flow
