Great finish from Bucko, you saw him making the run just before diving full length. What a goal Son!!! I think we're doing ok but we need to get hold of it a bit better in midfield and up front. Boycie is working hard but still needs to do more to make it stick, Broadhead for all he looks threatening needs to keep hold of the ball a bit better. We look dangerous when we get it down and play, especially down the left. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Temps or Sarkic get 30 minutes out wide to see if either can be a bit more dangerous. Nathan is looking a bit light today if I'm honest. Not seen a lot of Fraser or Edwards either. Could really do with both of them having a bit more of an influence going forward. Oxford look as if they've got a goal in them so I think we may need another. Satisfied but weirdly, don't think we're playing as well as we have. I think Fraser has now had sufficient influence going forwards ! Statto's, last player to score a league hattrick for us? I am struggling to remember one! Marcus Harness last season wasn’t it? May have just been a double. Great win tonight, my mate on the ground in home end said some great goals from Fraser, superb stuff. 6 points from 12 we’d have taken given the fixtures and last year’s start... brilliant.

I nearly went but decided against it, what an idiot! Great result, can we play away all season?

Enjoyed watching it on ifollow tonight. I hope that wasn't Scotty firmly putting himself in the shop wondow? After a bunch of poor things about Saturdays game there is a bunch of positives from tonight:
- Boyce contributed - Lucas looked back to is usual self - sarkic looks decent and will be a lot more than just a squad number this season - Nartey and Joe getting some minutes albeit only a few - we stuck to it after going 2.1 down

161 brewers there. Phenomenal comeback at a decent team. Roll on Shrewsbury. Come on brewers. Get off your backsides and drive to Salop to support your team. We should be taking 700 there.

Is it poor form to like your own posts?
Eh? Eh? Eh?
Never mind the brewers, Scotty Fraser being a genius or even the win, enough about that. What about meeeeeee??
I'm not saying my insight is spot on but I am saying I'm great, I love me ;-)
(I may have just finished the first 4 beers I've had in two years, or I may just be an arrogant sod, i'll leave that to you lot to decide) What a great second half that was.

The reason I didn’t contribute last night was because at half time I logged into the site and after reading Broomo’s post thought he’d covered it spot on. When we went 2-1 down I admit I was fearing the worst. I don’t know why because no NC side ever goes down without a fight. I don’t want to start getting carried away at this early stage but i’ve got a good feeling about this bunch of players. If we can get a break at home at some point which i’m sure is only around the corner we just may be in for an exciting season. Just to finish TAKE A BOW MR FRASER let’s hope you stick around for a bit longer.

Watched the game last night and it was great to see us fight back and take the points. Got to say Boyce had a very good game and couldn't do any more really, the goals will come! Wallace slotted in really well again and reads the game brilliantly. Fraser just seems to be getting better. Yes he scored 3 good goals from midfield! but his strength in running past 2/3? Of their players late in the game was great to see and we could have had another goal. Nearly forgot Jakes wonder header! I reckon he got mixed up and thought we were defending the corner and that it was really an attempted clearance! 😂
Think it was said that away from home teams come out and play, but at the Pirelli they they stay compact and prevent us from playing. COYB 👍🏻

Clough said: "It was a wonderful hat-trick. He was a bit fortunate with the deflection but it might have been going in anyway but his other two strikes were excellent.
"The third goal was the pick of them and Liam Boyce has played a part in them and he played as well as anybody tonight. It can be disheartening for a centre forward to play that well and not get a goal but he certainly helped the team get the points tonight.
"We have been a bit unlucky at home but the standard of all five performances so far has been very good."
Good start to season despite the bad luck
I think it will only get better myself
The signs are good

COYB 👍🏻 Totally agree about Fraser. When he came in last season he struggled a bit at first with the number of games we play compared to Scotland. Since then he has improved considerably and you forget he is still only 24. Could easily play in the Championship, which he showed against teams in the cup run last season. Out of contact in the summer I believe so we either extend the contract or sell in January. I reckon he is worth £2-£3m. Better than Jackson IMO. He did say when he joined us that he wanted to play in the championship, but wanted to join us first thinking it may have been too big a step for him. It could therefore all work out rather well for him. Obviously I would be gutted if he left but that's what we do at Burton, buy and sell. Unless of course we get promotion then he could stay.

COYB 👍🏻 Like most on here I have a good feeling about this season. Re-Wallace, it's easy to forget here's a lad who struggled to get into Matlock's team and had lost his way in football. Let's never forget the ability of Nigel to get the best out of a player (who's willing to put in the effort) and of course Nigel commands huge respect from those who've played for him before.

We've won 2,
And lost 2...
The 2 we've lost have been pretty flukey goals. Deflection and a unfortunate bounce off the keepers face/chest into the net.
We could very easily have won all 4...but we haven't. Our home games will only get "easier" from the level of opposition we face. A win at home is needed ASAP, but I don't think we're far from it
I do note in September we have Bury at home and Bolton at home early October. If neither go ahead we'll have a home league game 14/09 then our next home game won't be until 19/10! Ridiculous.

Enjoyed the game on iFollow; the commentary is not for me. It could easily have gone the other way. Don’t feel we’ve got that passing and possession in midfield yet that was so successful last season. We were split wide open down the right side for their two goals. Do feel we miss Fadz there but heh ho…………… Have to say we stuck at it, kept trying to go forward and take the game to them. It was a decent game to watch certainly. Bucko’s goal was a pure gem. Come on nobodygood you must be a fan by now? I’m amazed Scotty Fraser hasn’t been snapped up. Brilliant goals and a mazy side stepping run in midfield that’s worth a watch if you can find it anywhere online.
Boyce (and others) ran his socks off.
A really good team performance.
