I still dont understand what that means? Is it just that they arent in the managers inner circle? circle of trust---why mention a inner circle ,does it sound more devious, , and why a managers inner circle,oh no it is not another dig .waiting for j-b-h There is no sinister meaning to the question I asked Trevor? I genuinely dont understand what was meant by the managers circle of trust and to be in it a circle you cant be outside of it so you must be in the inner circle that was what I meant. Perhaps you can explain what this circle of trust means?

For me a circle of trust means giving 100%,playing for the team, and not being distracted by activities of the field. only the dressing room would have access to that sort of information, and to confuse things more sometimes they are the last to know. Rumours are what forums thrive on, Burton Albion are a target even for league 1 clubs, who can offer a better package so all our players are up for grabs and we have a few who are out of contract in the summer, and will look at their options then. Now is the time when players can be distracted. and staying clear of a serious injury is a no 1 priority. Clough says he is happy with his squad and a couple can go out on loan, and incomings will depend on players leaving. Macfadzene is a worry being injured, and out of contract in the summer,So a week to go and we are sticking according to Clough

Seems like we may have missed out on our transfer targets. Clough says he expects a quiet week.
Maybe he's just hustling. Wait and see.

If you've seen Meet The Parents / Fockers, that's a pretty good example. Damo = Gaylord Focker - hope the filter doesn't throw that one out...

Well clearly NC has changed his stance now which goes someway in suggesting his original complaint about his existing centre back options were simply born out of frustration relating to recent results (Gillingham). i believe we do not want to spend any money on a CB and he will not find anything better on a free from those he already has and who will want to come to us for the wages on offer. Simple as that. Dont be surprised if we offer new deals to the likes of Ben, john and Kyle ?

^^^ I agree, sticking not twisting.
Still it's not deadline day yet, who knows if there's not something in the pipeline, he did say more outs (likely) than ins.

Jake Hesketh going out on loan to M K Dons according to Southampton F C Website. Interesting and a little surprising it's to a league two club, albeit one pushing for promotion. I thought and think he's plenty good enough at league one level. Not a player who effected games for the full ninety bit some brilliant moments and he seemed a good lad as well. No complaints from me though that we're not back in for him, especially as it means we're playing one of our own. Wouldn't be surprised to see him back with us at some point once he's a bit more physically ready, a full season loan next year would be fine with me. Good luck sunshine and thanks for those two wonder goals. He more than played his part in an exciting spell for us.

I don't think it's a major issue him not coming back especially with the emergence of Harness in that wide right position as well as it being Lucas's best position when he's not playing elsewhere. It would be nice to get another one in before the deadline, maybe a forward, but also not lose any. I must admit I thought Boyce or McFadzean might go before the deadline as two of our better players but so far it doesn't appear that there is any interest. Of course Damo may go before 11pm but again we are well coved in his area. Let's see what happens in the next few hours!

I must agree it is nice to see one of our academy players gaining experience rather than another clubs. But i would think young players from higher league club, have more talent, certainly some move on for millions. But like a lot of lower league clubs find out the good ones come with large salaries .But sometimes we get a good one when clubs want them to move on from youth football

Still time left so let’s not count our chickens but surely no more movement is good news?

Shocked at that but Nigel did say in an interview this week that they offered settlements to try to help whoever get fixed up now rather than the summer.
I suspect we'll see one coming in. Josh Murray has his finger well and truly on the pulse and says we're trying for a midfielder.
Thanks for the memories Ben, a really good performer for us, solid and a player with a big heart.
