I just googled him
Think I could fill 5 pages with negative comments from fans across England
How does he survive in the job
Surely they monitor the cards given and must realise he's crackers?

Back to the important bit! BURTON Albion take on another promoted side for the first time this season at the Pirelli Stadium tomorrow. Southend United return to the Pirelli (3pm) for the first time since the dramatic game in March in which the 10-man Brewers recorded a superb comeback victory. Nasser El Khayati's late strike secured all three points for the Brewers on their way to the League Two title. With the help of the Southend Echo's Chris Phillips, we can take an in-depth look at the Shrimpers. Read more: www.burtonmail.co.uk/point-preview-Burton-Albion-s-weekend-opponents/story-27905048-detail/story.html#ixzz3nRyKrHhm A good bit of insight into the shrimpers from Chris Phillips. A lot of folk are very surprised that Bentley is still at Southend.

I'm worried that the ref is going to be an important bit though peacock!!
By the sounds of him.
Hope it's in our favour if he is.

Our (Southend's) record with Trevor Kettle as the referee reads as follows:
He's refereed us 18 times before, we've won 13 of those games and drawn 5. We haven't lost with him in charge.
Also, I saw our local sports reporter tweeted yesterday that in your last 4 home games against us, you've had a player sent off...

Trevor Kettle was responsible for sending off Robbie Weir for eyeballing an opponent at Mansfield last season and the home player wasn't even booked for a tackle about 2 foot up Robbie's leg. That's the kind of incompetence this official displays on a regular basis. I should be visiting the Pirelli today looking forward to an entertaining game of football, instead I am wondering about a referee whose decisions could cost us a game and the loss of players and disrupting all our hard work so far this season. He really is that bad. I just hope we come through the game unscathed by Mr Kettle and avoid defeat.

Stats can be a bit deceptive, I thought for most of the first half (which to be fair was as austere as a Tory government) we were on the back foot. A great start to the second half but after then I think we did well to nullify them and have the odd chance. It reminded me of the 1-0s we were enjoying this time last season.

Oh and overall, I thought Mr Kettle and his officials did ok, although I didn't see the Weir booking and some have suggested that was a bit harsh.

We win without scoring, not very convincing but that's how match's go. Still take any win no matter how, and Mr Kettle wasn't too bad either. First away match for me this season next week, keep the run going boys.

Just a shame the better team that had less possession and less shots have to travel back with even less points!!! ;-)

A tightly contested game, which I felt we just deserved the win. As I said last week we still put too many shots over the bar. I thought overall the ref had a decent game. Of the bookings today, only the one on McCrory was a poor one , just because he changed his mind when about to take a free kick. Timewasing? Ridiculous. It was a pity we lost Nasser early on, and he did appear to be subjected to so rough treatment.
