Big game on Tuesday for Burton. This will in my opinion be one of the toughest games we face at the Pirelli. I hope the fans turn out in numbers for it (although I won't be there as work are sending me to Wycombe ).
BAFC Home form this season: WLWW SUFC Away form this season: DWLWL
3 Points here would be huge (1pt would be great still). I am hoping we can ride on the coattails of this weekend to pull us through.
What are your guys thoughts on how this game will go?

Although we are playing great
I think given the chance I would take a draw now just to consolidate a great start to the season
But having said that would have taken a draw at chesterfield as well

I agree Observer. Then again, 8 weeks or so ago I'd have bitten someone's hand off to stay in the division....!

What are your guys thoughts on how this game will go? Who is this Sheffield you talk about? Sheffield FC play in the Evo Stik First Division South, have we got them in a cup match?

Just found this too... Tough Game on Tuesday What do we reckon on the odds of picking up all three points on Tuesday evening away at the Pirelli Stadium? Burton Albion are flying high at the top of the table, having been promoted recently, and on the back of a victory against Chesterfield this weekend. We`ve played them three times in the last few years, albeit cup matches, but our record isn`t that good against them. We beat them at their place in 2011 in the JPT with a 2-1 win, however, recent matches, both in the League Cup, have seen us being dumped out twice in the first round. They beat us on penalties at the Lane in 2012, which I had the misfortune to witness, and then 2-1 at the Lane again in 2013. I did travel for a pre-season friendly before last season when we went down 4-0 at their ground. I reckon it will be a tough match, and having come off the back of a 3-1 win over Doncaster in the South Yorkshire derby, I`m hoping that the team have got some confidence back to attack Burton full on. Having said that, when I was listening to praise or grumble on BBC Radio Sheffield, it did seem that Chesterfield threw their lead away in the second half, which we will have to guard against I reckon. They had 21 shots, with 7 on target, which shows they aren`t shy attacking. Beavon seems to still be a potent threat, and having only lost two games this season, compared to our three, we will have to be on our toes. Hopefully Craig Alcock may have shaken off his knock from Saturday`s game, but either way I reckon Kieron Freeman is up to the task, having come on for Alcock in the interval. I wasn`t a fan of Freeman at first but reckon he`s flourishing under Adkins, turning him into a proper right back that likes to get up the wing and attack the opposition. Some of his crosses and attacking play on Saturday were superb. I think there`s becoming quite a lot of competition for places now with players coming back from injuries. Done and Brayford aren`t that far off now, and having Matty Done pushing for a start over Connor "the fish" Sammon, and Billy Sharp should spur the lads on for places. We do need to win this one though, we need to pick as many points up as possible and push for automatic promotion this year; I think I`d end up with a heart attack if we went through the play offs again! On another note, my lad`s team, Staveley MWFC U14`s won their match today against Abbey Lane 4-2 with him just missing out on a pair of chances. A header that just went wide, and a shot from a goal mouth scramble weren`t bad for a centre half. Anyway, I`ll be tuned in for the results Tuesday evening and biting my finger nails no doubt. UTB!! All seating is sold out and apparently online sales of terrace ticket have been stopped to stop Blades buying them.

View AttachmentI have just tried to but a ticket for a friend who fancied coming to the game tomorrow night on the Popside, I am unable to do so as it says sold out. Have we sold out the Popside or not, my mate has decided not to come with me now due to the fact he can't stand with me. That's 17 notes lost to the club if we havn't indeed sold out.

Just been on to the website. I can buy tickets perfectly fine for both the West stand and the Popside.
Went on to the offy site, clicked on "buy tickets online", was taken to a page with a black box saying "buy priority matches", clicked on that, taken to a log on page and from there it's the standard ticket buying procedure...obviously as long as you can buy priority tickets.

Thought for a minute that Peacock might have to buy "the ground" a drink!
Maybe 4,500 to 5,000 there tomorrow do you think?

1 point would be ok, but I have a feeling as long as we can suppress there heavy duty front line we could win this one.

4500 I reckon. If any away supporters somehow do actually find their way into the home terraces (hopefully the new ticketing procedure has put paid to that) then I hope our stewards are on their toes. I've not got a problem with a few as long as they're not d*ckheads.
I'd be quite content with a point although we're more than capable of sneaking it tonight. As long as we can give our redneck, backwards cellar dweller friends from Essex an absolute pasting on Saturday, I'll be happy.

Unfortunately the Blades fans aren't known as shrinking violets and if they're in the home ends itmay get boisterous. Let's hope they are all safely ensconced in the East.

Just a quick round up of what else is on tonight ...(press links are now up) Sky Bet League 1: Matchday 10 preview Posted: Tue 29 Sep 2015 Author: Ryan Percival image: www.football-league.co.uk/cms_images/burton-albion-8x6549-2716363_478x359.jpgBurton Albion Burton Albion players in a pre-match huddle Image by: Barrington Coombs/EMPICS Sport Burton Albion are sitting pretty at the top of Sky Bet League 1 but meet unfamiliar opponents on Tuesday in Matchday 10. The Brewers are three points clear having won three on the bounce and now come up against Sheffield United, in what is the first ever Football League clash between the pair. Here’s a look at the midweek fixtures in Sky Bet League 1, with all games kicking off at 7.45pm: Tuesday 29th September Blackpool v Chesterfield Burton Albion v Sheffield United Colchester United v Bradford City Crewe Alexandra v Southend United Doncaster Rovers v Swindon Town Gillingham v Fleetwood Town Peterborough United v Bury Port Vale v Oldham Athletic Rochdale v Shrewsbury Town Scunthorpe United v Walsall Wigan Athletic v Millwall Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink’s side have overcome Rochdale, Swindon and Chesterfield en route to the summit, ahead of their meeting with the sixth-placed Blades. Although this is their first league clash, the two have met three times before; once in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy and twice in the Capital One Cup. The Blades won in the Trophy, while the Brewers advanced in the Cup encounters. Bury are the division’s form side having notched four straight wins, and they go to Peterborough United, who started well under Graham Westley by beating Bradford on Saturday. The Bantams’ next opponents are the buoyant Colchester, who go into Tuesday after three victories in three. Swindon are at the other end of the form table, losing three on the spin, and face lowly Doncaster Rovers, while bottom-of-the-table Blackpool meet Chesterfield for the first time since New Year's Day 2007. Elsewhere, Oldham Athletic have shared the spoils in all four of their away games so far, and take that run to Port Vale on Tuesday. It's hilarious isn't it...just had a cocky Blades fan asking me if I was looking forward to "your cup final tonight?"
I pointed out to him that the very same comment was made by a Chesterfield fan prior to Saturday's game!
COYB...prove this one wrong as well!
