LV: Bounce Back Against The Brewers

The Brewers come to SN1 full of confidence following promotion last term and currently sit third in the League 1 table. The on-loan Liverpool 'keeper told the official website that Town have to try and put a stop to their momentum.
“We’ve had two tough away games,” he said. “We didn’t play particularly well in either of the games but we got a win in one of them which is pleasing. Then a defeat where we just didn’t defend well. We weren’t even unlucky. When you defend like that you’re going to concede goals so we’ve just got to bounce back against Burton who have been on good form.
“They’ve just come up and they’ve done well so far. We’ve hopefully got to put a stop to their momentum and get another three points on the board on Saturday.”
Town’s next two fixtures are at home after a fortnight on the road and the stopper says that neither opponent should be underestimated.
“We shouldn’t take either of them lightly,” he warned. “Colchester haven’t been doing that well but they went and won at Sheffield United on Tuesday so we’ve just got to forget about the results and take each game as it comes.”

MARK DUFFY ADMITS SWINDON "DID BRILLIANTLY" LAST YEAR
by Ash Willis
Mark Duffy, the man with plenty of League One experience is going into Saturday’s game knowing exactly what Swindon are going to bring to the table.
They will be looking to bounce back but we will be looking to pile on the pressure for them"
Mark Duffy
“Swindon did brilliantly last year. They play out from the back.
“Everyone appreciates what they do.
“They started well but they got a hiding last week against Barnsley.
“They will be looking to bounce back but we will be looking to pile on the pressure for them.”
Swindon were very active in the summer transfer window with over 15 players coming to the County Ground but only a couple of players left. One of those players was Nathan Byrne, a tricky winger who was sold to Wolverhampton Wanderers for an undisclosed fee.
“They have sold their winger to Wolves which will be a big loss for them.” Duffy said.
“They have recruited well.
“They recruited Wes Thomas who I know well, he will be brilliant for them and he is one we will have to look out for.”

JIMMY Floyd Hasselbaink knows Burton Albion midfielder Matt Palmer is getting frustrated at his lack of playing time but says he will get his chance.
The 20-year-old has made three starts this season – all in cup competitions – and four substitute appearances in the league.
Palmer got his first goal of the season in the first round of the Capital One Cup, hitting a late winner at Bolton Wanderers.
But he has been unable to force his way into the side with Albion's midfield performing well this season.
In central midfield, Robbie Weir, Tom Naylor and Calum Butcher have battled for the two starting roles – leaving Palmer frustrated.
Realistically, Palmer's battle is with Duffy for that advanced midfield role behind the striker when Albion play a 4-2-3-1, or as part of the midfield four in a 4-4-2 – but the form of others has meant the youngster missing out.
But Brewers manager Hasselbaink says that has not changed Palmer's approach and the youngster – a product of Albion's academy – is working harder than ever in training.
"We rate Matt very, very highly," said Hasselbaink ahead of tomorrow's League One trip to Swindon Town (3pm).
"He's been very unlucky not to be playing as much yet but he's training exceptionally well.
"He's getting frustrated because he's not getting the chance, and I'm getting frustrated because I can't put him in at this moment in time, but I want to.
"In a way, he deserves it, but he has to wait and that's the same for a few others.
"He will get his chance."
With Palmer knocking at the door to start, the question remains for Hasselbaink where to play him.
Palmer's role when on the left is different to that of an out-and-out, pacy winger.
Hasselbaink sees Palmer primarily as a player to operate through the middle – behind the striker or coming inside from the wing.
"Matt played last year on the left quite a bit, but with a free role coming into the middle," said Hasselbaink.
"I see him playing better in the middle. He can play out on the left or on the right, but with that free role and not as a winger.
"He can come into the pocket and get the ball, turn and face the goal. I see him more as a midfielder or a player behind the striker."
