Just read their message board. Sounds like they've got nowhere near a settled team and play a slow, measured passing game that tends to break down when the opposition work hard and close them down quickly. Add to that two of their three wins this season have come against bottom four teams and the other win came against Bradford where Nathan Byrne scored a 16 minute hat trick. Exceptionally dangerous player but fortunately he's since left on a permanent transfer to Wolves. I'm going either 0-0 or 1-0 Brewers. Barnsley vs. Swindon - Swindon Supporters PerspectiveI'm having a go on the lottery tonight. I never get a prediction correct. Outstanding result, that.

Great win today and in uncharted territory in League 1 now. What a fabulous professional Jimmy Floyd is. Unbelievable times at Burton Albion.

Can't wait for Chesterfield now. You'd be mad to miss this one.
*unless you can't actually be there for whatever reason.

Well what an enjoyable day! the prematch drinks in the sunshine is always feared to be the best part of the afternoon, but it was not so today. As ever we seem to arrive at precisely the wrong side of the ground and have to circumnavigate it to get tickets. It does feel like rip off time as we pass the area of the ground behind the Swindon goal where their fans pay £19 to where we buy our £25 a seat tickets. We complain to the people selling tickets as we hand over our money, I think that they have heard this before (I wonder if Jeremy Corben would raise the unfairness of this for me at Prime-ministers Questions?). The game? At first we thought Swindon's tactic of passing the ball across and back to the goalkeeper was a tactic to stop any 'quick off the mark' attacking football from us but as time went on nothing changed. Indeed it becomes delightfully monotonous and takes pressure off us. Their fans become restless and i'm not surprised if they have to watch football like that week after week. Comments made by our group after the match were that it made for a Swindon performance that was..either as inspiring and competitive as a testimonial ...or like playing out the second leg of cup game when the first had been so conclusive that they didn't need to do anything other than turn up. The swindon tactics were quite mystifying, they hardly sent a standard cross in to the box- i think about half a dozen all match, instead they persisted on drinking in looping passes over the defence that just did not come off. We listened to the local Radio Swindon coming home and i almost felt sorry for their fans who frustration with them was evident. Mark Coper's post match interview was laughable when he basically said they should not have kept passing the ball backwards.. so much for his management...(okay slight bitchiness there but after all as we said ..they were like Tamworth in disguise!). And us? i don't know how it appeared to come across on the radio, I met a Brewer ( outside the Branston Chinese) who had listened to it on Radio Derby, who said that he thought it was an average game. I disagree. It would be difficult to single out an obvious MOTM but Weir, Beavon and the ever improving Duffy were immense and although the stats will state that Swindon had most of the possession when you are passing across your defence with no where to go or back passing to your goal keeper doesn't really achieve anything. We bossed the game throughout and really the only decent chance was at the death when they had a free kick just outside our box. At the time it felt like that was bound to go in to spite us. Well done the Brewers, let's just enjoy it. And if I can be a creep... Happy Birthday to Mr Ben Robinson! The lads gave you the present that you deserved.

Any team that chooses to keep passing along the back line at this level is asking for trouble IMO
It's all well and good at the right level and when you have the right quality players to eventually spring forward with quality
But we are talking about League One and Swindon Town here

As I suggested, tongue in cheek, the keeper was their man of the match, because he had a 100% pass completion rate. Must have made about 40 five-yard passes to his full backs and centre halves. Ridiculous tactics. Then Cooper blames his players on the radio afterwards, as if he hadn't told them how to play. It didn't bother us, we just went about our business the usual way, could have scored more. Surreal times...

This, and "as Jimmy ended the post game interview with" Chesterfield, is what we should be focusing on right now! COYB! Just listened to the post match interview, they cut off the end bit. The reporters asked Jimmy something along the lines of the possibility of being in the Championship next season. He replied Chesterfield is next week and walked away...They then said, I wouldn't have expected anything other than that from him... Here are the highlights, nice goal from Beavs... www.skysports.com/watch/video/sports/football/competitions/league-one/9998149/swindon-0-1-burton
