Important Ticketing Information for away games

BURTON Albion will this season be designating some fixtures as priority games.

The first priority game will be the home match against Coventry City on Sunday, September 6, kick off 2.30pm, followed by Sheffield United on Tuesday, September 29, at 7.45pm.

Tickets for the Coventry game are currently on sale, however, you will need to be registered on the ticketing system by midnight on Monday, August 31. After this date only supporters who have already registered on the new ticketing system and have obtained the unique FAN ID will be able to purchase tickets on line. All other supporters will have to visit the Ticket Office prior to the fixture.

Tickets for the Sheffield United game will go on sale at 9am on Tuesday, September 1 and only supporters who have already registered by midnight Monday, August 31 on the ticketing system will have access to purchase tickets on line giving them priority over general sale which will be available from the Ticket Office following the Coventry City game on Sunday, September 6.

This will not affect any supporters who wish to purchase tickets for other games as this can be done on line or via the Ticket Office.

All season ticket holders and Vice Presidents will already be registered and can use their existing season tickets for these two fixtures.

Fans who have registered will be able to buy tickets on line as soon as the priority window opens. Fans buying seats will be able to choose their seat online and fans choosing to stand can specify which terrace.

Fans booking online can also benefit from the advanced ticket prices and will know they have secured admission to some of the most popular fixtures of the League One season.

For priority games there will be no cash admission on the turnstiles. Any remaining tickets will only be available to purchase on the day at the ticketing windows by home fans were we would expect there to be queues so we would recommend purchasing in advance.

Simple: yes to try and eliminate home thugs: but  more importantly to try and eliminate the away thugs from getting in the home end I understand its hard to stop the prats altogether but we have to try or the clubs for the high jump.

As for millwall yes we are going to be a new scalp sad but true.

And I would not worry about it, in 20 years or so of watching the Albion, there has only ever been one occasion where I felt my safety was in jeopardy. Not a bad record for a small but progressive club that has come all the way from the Southern League...

i agree Funky and the club is putting these measures in place so hopefuly that will still be the only time your safety was in jeapardy.

COVENTRY City have sold 1,440 tickets for their match with Burton Albion one week on Sunday.

The all-ticket game will be broadcast on television.

Just been looking at Sheff U tickets and as I haven't registered I'm guessing I will have to blag some time off work to go in and get them. It does say if you buy online for priority games you can only get 2 tickets without other people's fan id's but does the same count if you go in the shop?

Just spoke to the shop and sounds like I can only get 2 tickets even though I always buy 4 when I go in so looks like we will be giving Sheff U a miss!

Will they not know the id has been used? Problem is I'm working right in the middle of Birmingham so it's a struggle to get back anyway. Speaking to someone again tomorrow to see if there's anything I can do. Need to get more of the lads to start getting tickets I suppose

You can buy as many as you want when you get to the ground next Tuesday, can't you? Unless you want a seated ticket you'll be fine just turning up on the day. I think we all know it's not going to come anywhere near to selling out as far as the terracing goes.

If you're all going to be at the game anyway can't you just all turn up and get one each as opposed to you getting all four? It says on the offy that tickets can be bought from the ticket window up to 7.30pm on the day of the game.

Just to add that a mate of mine who isn't registered bought him and his two kids tickets for the Coventry game 3 hours before kick off.

I will not be going as I normally buy four or five tickets. I'm not prepared to fart about going back and forth etc. I'm sure I'll not be alone in thinking this is a ridiculous idea.The Brewers have lost out . Very angry.

I've just bought three online for friends, without any problem and not sure but I think I could have got more?

All you have to do is print off the confirmation ID and pick up on the night.

OK there's a one pound booking fee (one off, not per ticket) which is mildly annoying.

It's quickly turning into another farce....
I love my Brewers to bits, just as my late Dad did. But this is the daftest thing they've announced in years. I'm fairly certain it wouldn't sell out if normal availability was implemented, with loyal fans / families only buying two tickets, it definately won't sell out!

Maybe I am being dim but I can find no reference to this 2 ticket per person rule for the Sheffield Utd game - it seems to apply to the Port Vale match only
