Good to see the club moving with the times and it will be very interesting to see if it has any positive effect on ticket sales?
Anything that makes it easier for the customer to purchase has got to be a good thing.

I cannot navigate the website to find where I can register to use the online ticketing system.
Why don't they embed a link in the news story?
Have I missed it?

Some people are saying when they registered it takes them to the Exeter ticket site? Right this the link to the online ticket system ba1.glitnirticketing.com/baticket/web/ev_list.phpYou first have to register, with at least a login name, password, email address and your name Then it takes you to the Exeter site So, close your browser, this will log you out, and open a new browser window, enter the link above again and login. This will take you to the BAFC site From this point, good luck. The ticketing system site looks like it was designed by a twelve year old!

Thank you, well that took me straight to the BAFC site, but I agree, it does look like it was designed on a ZX Spectrum :-(

I am reliably informed that the particular glitch of taking you to the Exeter City site as soon as you register has been resolved. I discovered the same error, reported it and it was fixed within minutes.

I created a new account and registered. I then was on the BAFC site (not exeters) and it did show options to buy individual game tickets but I wasn't able to buy a season ticket there. I clicked "login" and logged in again and then did see the option to buy plans/packages ie a season ticket (one link on the page to this option works and one doesn't, so persist until that bug is fixed). When I clicked the link that works (bottom one) it took me to the purchase season ticket page but the only link on that page that worked for me was the "back to event" link.
It's crazy, I worked for many years in the computer software world and we always had a testing group who tested the software before it was released. Nowadays it definitely is an industry standard that the customer is the tester! Sad but true.

What about people who don't have visa or mastercard. It's total censored work. Surely they could have incorporated paypal or maestro. Does this now mean I can only buy tickets on the day. If so, I feel like I'm being skanked just because I refuse to use credit cards. Really has pissed me right off!!!!!!!!!

And another Facebooker has highlighted that you cannot purchase any match ticket other than an adult one.

Having registered (in order to get an ID to enter the Uttoxeter races competition) I now see that season ticket holders are already on the system and that we will be getting an e-mail with the activation details. Ooops, I now will have two unique IDs I guess. I wonder if the email activation will arrive in time for me to enter the competition?

And another Facebooker has highlighted that you cannot purchase any match ticket other than an adult one. You can. You need to select the stand you want a ticket for, then quantity of tickets and then it takes you through to this option where you have a "drop down" box. I was going to give it a go and buy my Scunthorpe ticket through the system but as it works out more expensive than the "on the day" price it looks like I'll need to either ring up or go in before the game. For anyone who hasn't tried it, it's £17 for the match ticket, a £2.50 handling fee and a £1 fee to collect the ticket.

Excellent, thank you, I either, didn't get that far or it has changed since I tried - wasn't looking to buy one by the way, just doing what Peacock suggested - and was testing it…
As for the charges, I bought tickets for Derbyshire v Yorkshire the other day, a really easy system to use, no booking fee and tickets delivered by post, brilliant. I guess the cricket club absorb the costs.
I live near the ground, I may set up a collect service that undercuts the online fees - nice little earner - come and collect pre game at Stretton Social Club, free parking, excellently priced ales (more on that in a different thread soon…) and you pay less for your match tickets...

Changing the subject slightly,I went to the club shop to purchase a standing season ticket £323.00 pounds, the service in the shop was dreadful no please no thankyou,I got the impression they were doing me a favour in accepting my money, the retail skills were very poor. I work in retail and it would be unacceptable to behave in such a manner towards customers, they should remember all customers are important part of the money stream to pay the wages etc, maybe it's a football thing but progress is not always a good thing.

Genius idea that, Funky...forgot to mention it's £1.50 if you want the ticket posting out to you so you may be in business there!
I can't see many people using the online system if it can be as much as a £4 mark up on if you were to either go into the shop or ring up for a ticket which is a shame because I admire the club for pushing forward with something like this.

So if I collected tickets for people for £1.50 a go, everyone is on a winner… :-)
